I can relate to this article. In fact, it echoes exactly what I've been going through. I'm sick with worry every day. There is always something to worry about. I am hoping this article opens your eyes too.

I saw this elsewhere but didn't read it until I used your link here. I do wonder if it's a term created to fit some facts rather than something more specific but that's by the by. It does explain things that I am fully aware of with me and have been following the recommendations without knowing about them. I don't need an excuse for an invigorating walk - just good weather

I worry every day: no matter how minor, I worry. I worry about needing the loo on the bus. I worry about my dad dying. I worry I'll miss the bus. I worry about things breaking/stopping working. You name it: I worry.
It's a terrible habit but I've always been this way.

You are not too old to change.
Every time you start worrying, change the subject. It won't work for you instantly, but it can be done. But certainly think about something else even if it a just a lesser worry eg stop worrying about your dad dying, by worrying about your skirt riding up at the back.
I think if you are a social person at heart then you need the social contact. However for a loner too much contact can also be toxic.
This is true.
I think being sociable is important but a person still needs some time to themselves. It's like after 9pm that is my me-time. I won't talk to anyone on the telephone. I also have Monday to myself: one day a week to myself is important to me. Otherwise I socialize with people regularly.

I had an ingrown toenail. So this afternoon I pulled out the nail, cut the excess nail and pulled away skin. It did bleed slightly, but it needed to be done and the pain is gone. It hasn't bled excessively, though.

Let's hope it helps. It would make things easier for a lot of people.
To be honest and having seen this close up too many times. I think if even a fraction of the research money went to providing services , day care, dementia villages and respite for home carers it would help so much. Too often Ive seen people stranded without help or support and with no idea how to deal with a loved one who is gradually slipping away. We are so focused on a cure we have forgotten how to help those who are suffering now.
