I read about this recently when I was looking into causes/treatments of heart palpitations. A lot of elderly people swore by taking taurine to help with this, and it made sense because I read we become deficient as we age. I started taking magnesiums that had some magnesium taurate in it, and it does seem to make more of a difference for me as well.

Smoking and COVID-19 don't mix.
COVID-19 affects the lungs. And if the person with the virus smokes it could restrict the oxygen into their lungs, worsening the COVID-19. It is basically a form of strangulation. That person with COVID-19 needs to be put on a oxygen machine. If they are smoking there is a limit to what that oxygen machine can do.

I've sorted out my medication:
1. I bought a new pillbox on Saturday 2. I filled-in my old pillbox with meds 3. Transferred meds from old pillbox into new pillbox 4. I edited and re-organized my doctor's medication box 5. I use another box just for pain killers and non-prescription items

I keep organized.
Good to keep on top of things. I fifo OHs meds as they come in. That way we always use the ones with the shortest shelf life first. He also has a daily pill box to remind him to take his meds.

That's a standard quality management technique. One that my local Lidl like to ignore. The freshest milk is always at the front?

The saying pay peanuts get monkeys always comes to mind . Supermarkets employ the cheapest labour often students. But they have no idea of fifo or HACCP.

I used to love introducing haccp to pretentious managers talking about their quality management.

FIFO just makes sense. I use it planning both at work and at home.

Some get it right. I tend to look for the best date on things, although with fruit sometimes the newest date is not always the best quality. Some people do get irriated as they are in a rush but I often don't use things quickly so do generally need food to last a few days.
As an aside - I have noticed that in Sainsbury's here the best before date on fruit and veg has been replaced by a, slightly non obvious, code. It is clearly a (generally) future date. I am now using this for guidance.
I've been trying to eat more nuts and seeds. But.... in snack bar form seems to make it easier for me.
I cannot quite get my head around this. Does it mean that if you eat more nuts you are likely to suffer less from depression or does it mean that the type of people who eat more nuts are less likely to get depression?
Thats how many plants get distributed in the wild. I often think of small seeds as roughage in my diet, in the truest sense
if you grind them down, much of the the kernel is still roughage.
Yes, I know. That's why I said "in the truest sense" as I was thinking of the sharp seeds going down and scouring the walls as they went
I also think laterally a bit. Thinking of the potting soil for plants, and often adding larger particles to help aerate the mixture and aid drainage. Think of the alternative in soil and likely of processed food and the resultant slimey smelly sludge, in both cases ( _ I'm glad I've finished my coffee and sanwiches).
