The shrink put me on Abilify and 1 tiny little children's dose of 2 mg did quite the number on me yesterday. So no more of that. She gave me samples of the Trintellix but the side effects are worrisome. So I think I'm just gonna tell her I don't want any meds. The meds scare the hell outta me. They never work the way they want them to. Especially because of my Tourette's. I can get over the counter mood stabilizer's that won't do this crap to me. I never even wanted to go to the psychiatrist. I just wanted to see the therapist. I just wanted someone to listen and try to help me find ways to cope that don't involve stupid ass breathing exercises. They don't help me with the problems I'm dealing with. I need solutions. These people get pd. a pretty penny to f*ck with our lives. It's infuriating sometimes.
I don't like meds either. Meditation, practicing gratitude.. and natural supplements is what helped me. Rewiring my brain. Or depending on the issue.. just allowing some time to pass to feel better about the situation, too.
I think St. John's Wart is supposed to be good for depression.. I can't take it because of my thyroid, though, so I have no personal experience with it. I have experience using standardized lavender (CalmAid) and lemon balm together.. it helps with stress/anxiety, which can also help with depression if that adds to it for you.
Hope you can get to a better place emotionally soon, but some things take time, so be patient and understanding with yourself as you go through everything
The results were dysplastic nevi with mild atypia. So, closer to benign than melanoma still at that stage. They said the margins were clear, so no more work to be done!
Slowly yes.. Appitite more or less normal. But still constantly exhausted and a bit breathy.. Joints are killing me too.
Thanks for asking
Hard enough caring for another, but when you feel pooh too....
Do you think it's the fibro kicking back into life?
Could be but my hands feel really sore to the touch having my camera on the hand strap is like holding barbed wire. The dog lead is much the same. I will see if it calms down or else its off to the doc for me.. Problem is most of the NSAIDs make me as sick as a dog and thats their first line of treatment.

I am allergic to aspirin, and all the derivatives.

If you need medical attention cassie, please seek it: it doesn't mean you're a failure. You are obviously very ill and must rest. Anyone near you should understand that. You aren't showing weakness at all: you are seriously ill.
PLEASE - at least - have a few hours rest.

Please dont worry .Its all under control..
Most of the symptoms I had are fading now, the fibro is playing up but that happens whenever there is a glitch in my system. Im pretty good at managing my body these days. But dont worry anything out of the ordinary and I would ring the quack.
Dangit, I skipped a dose of my meds. I have been doing it almost once a week lately, I'm just so tired and forgetful even with alarms and everything.. Last night my heart rate was higher than usual, so then I was like... did I forget my meds? So I guess my body notices the difference pretty quickly and lets me know.. lol but yet doctors always claim that the thyroid levels don't change that quickly (takes weeks)... but surely something must be changing if I can have a change in my body that soon after missing a dose??

We started a new system as my so was forgetting regularly.
I now keep their meds in my vitamin cupboard. So every lunchtime, when I get my vitamins out, I put her tablets out for the following day. Thus if I see 'todays' meds, I get to nag.

lol I did tell my SO to start reminding me to check my meds, but he told me I should just ask myself when alarms go off and double-check even if I think I already took it xD He forgets to give our dog her meds sometimes, so he's not always 100% reliable either.

I only remember as the meds are in my lunch time vitamin cupboard. Hence if I am working, she has to sort herself out.

I usually remember if I follow a certain ritual.. if I break the ritual, then I seem to forget. So, once I come into the office and put my phone and things down, it's right near my pill sorter for the week, so usually that's my reminder to take it when I sit down.. but I also forget if my mind is thinking about something else already and I hop on the computer too quickly to check emails or something before taking my meds.
It's definitely not the first time they've realized a disease was caused by a virus first! Are all autoimmune diseases our bodies reaction to something else after all?
