That was really fascinating how many classification rules it broke.

They are wrong abut one thing though.... The Gondwanatherians are not extinct at all. Last week two of them came round sporting their little green bibles, and their shiny white teeth, asking us if we would accept Gondwana into our lives.

Here is a porpoise skull from the Miocene of Maryland. About 15 million years ago. John recovered this from a section. of cliff that had fallen into Chesapeake Bay.

And some things he find are really beautiful. This is a cluster of clam shells a little over a million years old from here in Florida. The shells have beautiful calcite crystals that have grown inside of them.
