The T-Rex was the ultimate predator. It had a bird brain, would you believe.
As expected, I have watched the Jurassic Park films. That T-Rex is terrifying. It weighed thousands of tons, could run at speeds of 60 miles per hour and its teeth were like a chainsaw. Who wouldn't be scared? I am very glad it's extinct. I also think with genetics that this deadly dinosaur must NEVER be genetically engineered. Just watch Jurassic Park for the reason why.
Moving from another topic and the tendency to do everything online these days how long before the virtual world not only seems but becomes more real than the current real one? A scary dream that cannot really hurt but will seem so real that it actually does? Even the thought is scary

Kind of like the Matrix? I bet some people will have heart attacks from some of the scarier things the more realistic it becomes.
I don't know if virtual reality will become more real than reality, but equally as real, probably... Some might prefer that because their lives aren't so great to begin with. A happy fantasy world where everything is perfect.... I think a lot of people would love to get whisked away into that world even for just a few hours a day... but how does one break away from that to return to their real life if it's superior?
I wonder, how would food taste exclusively in our mind? I imagine it would only be as if eating food while having congestion.. where you can't really taste much of anything but get a hint. I don't know if our minds are strong enough to recreate taste enough to be satisfied in a false reality if food is something someone really enjoys ;p

I haven't seen the Matrix for some time now but we have the collection. I remember that as it was pretty much impossible to discount it and reality could be like that. Following on from this and thinking about what Karen has just mentioned about War of the Worlds, I remember one time when in my teens and walking with a friend after datrk out in the countryside. He gave me a piece of chocolate and as I put it into my mouth he said it was a certain type of dark chocolate I detested. I instantly tasted it and vomited! Needless to say, it was actually ordinary milk chocolate that I loved but the strong suggestion that it was not actually changed my thinking of the taste. The power of the mind and danger of manipulation is very great, in my experience.

Do you ever watch it, kjay? I find dinosaurs fascinating. They had been incredibly scary but they had also been part of the history of our planet.
I watched "Jurassic Park" at the cinema with a friend in the early 90's. I screamed in the cinema at one scene. I was only young, though. Anyhow, after that I collected magazines about dinosaurs: I still have those magazines to this day.

A highly interesting subject.
I did and enjoyed it. My husband actually digs and collects fossil. He has an amazing collection. Most are of mammals and fish but he does have some dinosaur fossils too.
I wonder how many different species there are that we don't know ever exist. i am sure we will never know But I am also sure we will be finding new ones from time to time.
It's always fun to find something new.. although, maybe we already found pieces of them before and assumed it was something else we already knew about because we didn't have the entire body lol
