I took a photo of the bluebells in the woods on my walk the other day. It didn't come out well though although they looked pretty.
I saw that there was still some wild garlic. A little later I was talking to someone locally and she mention that she had picked lots of leaves and they were now in the freezer. She cooks with them. I knew they were edible but she was the first person I have met who has mention doing it. I have been trying to grow wild garlic from seed but have had no joy yet. Maybe picking a bulb or two and letting them spread would be more reliable. They apparently spread too well when they get going lol

Mint is just the same. I tend to grow it in a biscuit tin.
In the garden this morning I noticed another bee inspecting our compost bin (where the bees nested last year), but no signs of activity yet. I may not get any as on talking to my neighbour she mentioned that bees were in one of her bird nesting boxes on the opposite side of her garden. We shall see but I hope I get some.
On a slightly lesser note, while I was out in the garden yesterday I noticed that mice, not content with creeping into the garden shed, had gnawed away at bottom of the shed door to produce a semi-circular hole that would not discrace Jerry with similar skirting board holes in the old Tom and Jerry cartoons. It would have been an amusing photo but I only thought now it is patched

My dad put down a lawn in his garden yesterday and it looks good!
Oh: someone poured water down a nearby beehive yesterday. My neighbour pointed it out. I don't know why someone would do something like that. It's utterly wrong.

Wasps get an even harder time than that. They are needed exactly for the same reason bees are.
I have a wasp bike every year in my loft. I see them come and go through the eaves.
I checked my jalapeños today and they are doing amazing. I can't believe how many I have.
That's good. I have four pepper plants. They are somewhat behind yours though, only being a couple of inches tall at the moment. A week or two's sun should bring them on though. My tomatoes are doing better. They are beginning to flower well now.

My tomatoes are producing very well this year. I'll try to find time to take a pic.
Our little redbud branch is in the ground. It actually had more roots visible than the previous one they sent.. they are very tiny, but all over the place! We thought the other was going to be a dud for the lack of roots, and it was... it did grow some roots and grew tiny leaves at the base, but that's it... I don't want to wait years for a tree in the front yard to establish like that, though, so that's why we asked them to send us a new one.
We relocated both of our mostly dead redbuds to the backyard to see if they will grow one day.... but birds also like to land on our empty, dead trees, so it's also for them to enjoy lol we don't mind if they are an "eye sore" because they are in semi-wooded areas, and they aren't very big. I know one of our neighbors would hate it xD
