lets have a cleaning thread.

I don't know about a cleaing service. I could really do with someone more into home management to help and advise on organisation. I suspect they would just throw their hands in the air and walk away from a lost cause. I have far too many interests and hobbies with attendant clutter

I also keep control of my clutter, kjay. There will always be some clutter but I don't let it become out of control.

If my place is smaller and if I don't have to work 10 hours a day, I will clean my house too, Candy. You are lucky because you can clean your house the way you like.

I find it stressful having things too organised. I like to drop time from the equation every now and then and relax a bit. I find it helpful.

Today I have:

1. Taken out the rubbish & recycling
2. Put on a quick load of laundry
3. Keep on top of the washing up

I will be cleaning my bathroom and kitchen on Monday.

It is tidy day today, I will get stuck in after lunch. A few hours of fun-fun-fun, it isn't.

If I'm off this next weekend I want to work some more on de-cluttering and getting rid of things I no longer need. Then I wanna rearrange things in the house and get stuff organized and clean as I go. The entire house needs done top to bottom. I'm ashamed of myself at how dirty I let the apt. get after mom died. I just lost all motivation to do anything at all. It needs to get done. Desperately.

Patients often say "I need my feet doing badly!"

I always want to reply, but haven't yet: "But I always do them badly!" 

I am cleaning my bathroom and kitchen tomorrow morning: it bugs me that I didn't get to it on Thursday.

This is how I have been sprucing up my apartment - without redecorating:

1. Emptied out my food cupboards
2. Cleaned inside my food cupboards
3. Threw away old/unused foods
4. Re-organized my food cupboards
5. Emptied out my fridge
6. Cleaned inside my fridge fully - also cleaned the top of the fridge
7. Re-organized my fridge - or ice box, as you Americans call them!
8. Keep on top of my laundry
9. Keep on top of the washing up
10.Emptied my bookshelf
11.Wiped down my bookshelves with anti-bacterial wipes
12.Re-organized my bookshelf
13.Have wiped down other dusty surfaces
14.Keep my linen closet organized

There are still other jobs to do, but those are the ones I got around to doing within the last few days.

I need a bit of a tidy today, but nothing too boring substantial.

I am working on getting the apt. cleaned up and I'm gonna start one room at a time and declutter as I go. I am working on the bathroom today but it's time for a coffee break. I need to get into the cabinet under the sink and go through that stuff and wipe it out before I sweep and mop. I got the fan blowing on me cuz I'm dyin. LOL! Will hafta check the dryer pretty soon. It takes forever for that thing to dry the clothes. Thankfully my loads are small. I'm listening to this as I clean.

Hello Mary: you've got skills. Plus, you must have a strong stomach to clean hospital wards. It is a job I simply could never do. It'd literally be impossible for me to handle it.
