Wash up? Wash up what? =p
I do the dishes somewhat often compared to the rest of the chores. I'll either hand wash some or put them in the dishwasher. For the pots and pans I usually just hand wash them so I can reuse them faster.
I do the laundry on an as-needed basis or if the hamper is practically full.
I clean the bathroom when it gets dirty. I wipe the toilet seats down more frequently, though. Maybe once a week or more because that is the part we are always using lol As for inside the toilets, sinks, bathtubs, usually I'll start to see that grimy look and decide to clean it.
I don't have floors to mop. We have mostly carpet, so I vacuum. I'm not sure how often I do it. About once a week, or once every two weeks on average. I probably need to do it more, but the dogs HATE IT lol and when they are napping and being peaceful I feel wrong to turn it on, so I do put it off longer than I would want to much of the time.
The big cleaning I do is probably every few months... especially if I let too many things build up at once. I am terrible at keeping up with things, even though I keep telling myself to so that it would be easier on me!
I just procrastinate way too much or completely FORGET. That's right.. I forget what chores I have to do until it's night time LOL and then I say.. "tomorrow", but I forget again, haha. I guess it's not urgent enough if I can't remember, though =p
wash up i mean do the dishes lol. im really lazy with cleaning, and OH is sh*t at it, he does do it but i do it again after.
I wash the bath after every time its used, i wash the toilet as and when needed, but put bleach down every couple of days. i sweep my living room floor like 5 times a day and every time i do it, it looks like it hasnt been done for weeks!! you wouldnt believe how bad it is, even if my dogs arent in the living room in the time between sweeping it, there is a pile of hairs as though ive never swept up before (i dont vac as its laminated, sweeping is so much easier) and, although i should do it like 2ce a day, i mop my living room floor every few days, i really need to do it more often espesh with M eating in his highchair and throwing food everywhere making my floor all sticky.
now my biggest confession!!! washing the dishes is my weakest point, i soo wish i had a dishwasher, i HATE washing up, but even if my kitchen is spotless, one meal later and it looks like a weeks worth of cleaning and there is only 3 of us, then i cba doing it after dinner, then i take M to bed and dont wana be loud, then im watching a film so it can wait for the morning, then in the morning i need to rush to get ready and go to work, then i cba doing it all properly when i finish work. bcos my kitchen is so small, all it takes is 2 pans and its a sh*t hole. like i say OH is crap so i tell him not to wash up, he mainly does the floors, stairs, and tidies, hes better at tidying than cleaning.
as for a big clean, omg i havent done one of them in a while, at my old house when i was pregnant, sunday was my cleaning day, i would do top to bottom, then on the day before i went into labour i did a mahoosive clean, cleaning chip pan, cupboards and skirting boards. now i dont think ive done a big full clean since then.. i did a big tidy the other weekend, my landlord was coming so i gutted the whole house, kicked OH out and M was at his great grans, i got loads done now its back to square one almost!!

Yep... dishes.... one of the things I hate the most lol and it is because it never ends. You clean that day and then you have a new pile soon after. That is why I sometimes use paper instead!! I will re-use paper plates for a while if I use them for sandwiches.
Cleaning dishes is something I quite enjoy. I do most of the dishes washing. Sometimes she does it, and I grit my teeth a little thinking "I was just about to do that!"
i was just thinking the same Heather! when i lived with my parents, we had a dishwasher for as long as i can remember, before that i was younger so doing the dishes was a privilege, i was doing a 'adult thing' then when we got the dishwasher i started to miss washing up, now i live in my own home i hate any chore, i never rinse plates, cups, bowls or pans, but if i go to my parents for dinner, i will always rinse, and tidy up after myself and M.

I had a friend who swept her house every single day..everything was in place, no clutter.....she yelled at her husband for putting his work out gym bag on the floor..
I thought she was nutty but at the same time I envied her b/c her house for being in such good order & immaculate. Something I could never achieve.

i havent swept my house for about 3 days, i did a rough vac yesterday but only bcos it was saw dust from OH! mess? what mess? im blind to it
i think i need a house keeper, just for a week to come and make my house lovely, although i think they would just run a mile within 5 mins!!
im not a dirty person, at all, im just untidy, i have mess and clutter every where, it annoys me but a) i have no where for it to go, my house is smaller than a bungalow, and b) i cant be arsed haha!!

I never mopped the floor when we didn't have children, just vacuumed it, then first 6 month I mopped the floor every day, now 1-2 times a week.
I do the dishes when they are dirty, so few times a day.
I do the laundry 2-3 times a week.
Bathroom and toilet we usually clean every two weeks and there's always a big clean before some special holidays like birthdays or New Year.
I also put son's toys to their places all the time, maybe 3 times a day, as he has lots of them, but can't do that on his own yet.
I wish I had a housekeeper, but we can't afford one right now.
DH helps me a lot around the house. He does the vacuum cleaning at weekends, cleans the bathroom, he's also the one who always takes out the rubbish in our family, as I hate doing that most of all, don't know why.

I used to live with my best friend for 2 years before getting married and we both hated this garbage thing, so when it was time for someone to take it out we invited few guests and asked them to do it when they were leaving)

Of course they couldn't.
That was a great time, living with my friend (female friend) we had done so many crazy things, I really miss it. Now we are both married, with kids and sometimes when we talk to each other we dream how we return into that time at least for a day...
What's also about housekeeping we were both really afraid of insects, but I'm more afraid of butterflies and she of spiders, so when we had one in our house we did that for each other, I always "took care" of spiders and she of butterflies)
