To be serious, though: I do a LOT of organizing and cleaning. It is almost a full-time job next to my Internet work. I have the bug for sorting and cleaning. And I hope to always be this way!
Quentin Crisp: There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse.
I saw a second fly escape by going behind the microwave this morning so I thought it was time to move it and clean as I ex[ected to find it very dirty. Our microwave is more like a bigger commercial one than the tiny ones people often buy these days. I was pleasantly suprived as there were only a few crumbs under it and the tiniest bit of dust at the back. I didn't find the fly but I know he is still about because he has just landed on me as I am writing this

I have to switch to my September cleaning sheet, since it'll be a new month before the week is up. I usually split up weekly cleaning jobs between four or five days, leaving the weekend with none. Sometimes I'm even trying not to do laundry on Saturday, so I can have more of the day off (though laundry isn't a big deal for me, and sorting and folding is therapeutic at times). Dishes usually can't be skipped and should be done twice a day if we're motivated enough. (Four people makes a lot of dirty dishes!)
Here is the breakdown at this point, and we'll move things around if the school year means we aren't getting it all done on the days assigned:
Monday: Change and wash sheets Tuesday: Garbage & recycling out (to a dumpster shared with other townhouses) Wednesday: Bathroom cleaning, dusting Thursday: Wash floors, vacuum Friday: When I remember... wipe cupboard doors or clean fridge shelves. Realistically, these things don't get checked off the list often enough; but they're written down as a nagging reminder!
I don't have cleaning days, which means I clean when I see things need cleaning. I just have to make sure I have Queen playing when I do. My non-negotiable requirement I stipulated to my husband and kid is to make sure the kitchen is tidy and ready for me to use when I come home from work. Clear the benchtop and the kitchen island. Nothing is so annoying for me than having to clear the working area before I can cook and prepare food. They don't always do but there's a big improvement this year.
My husband thinks my OCD is in overdrive so he insists that I stay away from cleaning, laundry and tidying up, he thinks I will go out of my mind.
I bet you say nothing to contradict him.
In contrary Cherry, I can't help it. People who come to my house think that it was cleaned and organized an hour ago. I think my OCD came from the fact that my two sisters and my mom are the opposite of me.

I think your mutual support system is great. All couples should be like that.
You are a natural grafter, and I guess your ocd is an extension of that, rather than an illness.
I see things that need cleaning and I leave them because I either have no energy or just feel unwell lol I wish I had someone to clean for me... I wonder how often I'd clean if I felt okay.. I know on my days where I feel a little better, I overdo it and try to clean everything, but then I feel terrible for days.
