I see things that need cleaning and I leave them because I either have no energy or just feel unwell lol I wish I had someone to clean for me... I wonder how often I'd clean if I felt okay.. I know on my days where I feel a little better, I overdo it and try to clean everything, but then I feel terrible for days.
That must be so frustrating.
Definitely! I don't like people thinking I'm lazy... and I feel it makes me look lazy. My body just does not want to cooperate with much ;p

I was just admiring our shiny kitchen sink, since I'd washed up before going out for a little bit before lunch. If I had the energy all the time, I'd love to see that clean sink more often during the day. (It's quickly filled, though, with four people and all their dishes...) I think that giving myself a break and saying that finding the energy once per day is going to be the max some weeks - depends on how I'm feeling and how much mental and physical energy it takes to teach and manage three hyper boys!
A good time for washing and hanging the clothes out to dry today. Of all the house chores, this is what I never complained of doing. I love it, actually. Oh, and ironing, too.

Cleaning the kitchen is my favourite. I really like the end result.
My house is mostly white so it's very easy to spot the dust and dirt.
That sounds both good and bad to me but I do sometimes think of a minimalist look. Particularly when I am dusting ornements.
I prefer a cosy house with carpets as they deaden harsh sounds and are softer to walk on barefoot. My neighbour has board flooring though which is far better and easier to clean as they have multiple dogs.

We have carpets upstairs and hard floors down. They both have their merits, and certainly with dogs, hard floors are easy to look after.

I am going to clean my apartment tomorrow morning. I washed a load of laundry today and keep on top of the washing up. I also air out my apartment daily.
Every time I see the dust, I am so glad I have decided not to have carpets and drapes in the house. Vaccuming will not completely get rid of the dust in the carpet. And the drapes! they are the dust galore.

So true!
It is also so much easier physically. I really notice the difference when hoovering the upstairs carpets from the downstairs hard floors.

I cleaned my bathroom and kitchen last night. Today I have been dusting and put on a load of laundry. I also am airing out my apartment and keep on top of the washing up.
Paperwork ... We have to legally keep some for 5 years and because we own our own home some for 10.. Even though I put things in plastic clip shut folders somehow it still collects dust. I had to find an old bank paper today and it made me cough...
Next year no paper bank statements for me Im going fully digital, well the tax office still insist you send end of year statements in paper form but thats only 3 or 4 sheets instead of endless bits of paper that the bank send.
Until now OH has been slightly interested in finance so I had to keep it old school for him but seeing how we have bought this house all online no face to face or actual paperwork he has finally agreed that he has no idea whats going on and its all down to me!

Our laminate is the dullest we could find, so slip is non existent.
Ours is what they called engineered wood which is more or less laminate. I said sayonara to the hard wood the minute I saw wood eyes on my floor.
Our floor is oiled french Maple. Rejected by a US client because of eyes. Apparently American clients like real wood to look uniform and engineered European clients like a more unmatched natural look...

We've experimented on the flooring. I have a laminate floor on the so-called "chill-out" room where basically "my" room. Lol. I love the look of it but laminate is so limiting and not water proof so I installed a hybrid (laminate and vinyl) on the kitchen, instead. I love it. Now, here's the thing. I got offered a great deal discount on a vinyl plank flooring (same company) so I bought that and installed it on my bathroom and toilet. It is okay but not as great as the hybrid. Also, it's not enviro friendly and produced so much dust when cutting. I already bought heaps for the laundry room and upstairs bathroom, too. No point to pull my hair and smack my head at this stage, really. Anyway, I charge it to experience. The rest of the house will be wool carpeted for both practical and comfort reason.

There are a lot of of different kind of laminate and quite a few are waterproof, the one we have is the engineered wood, kind of laminate and waterproof.
