My rule would be do not meet without at least video chatting first. Then, once meeting, make sure it's a public place and that others know where you will be and can text you at intervals to make sure you are okay... and you can also have a phrase to give if you need someone to get you out of the date lol

That's good advice. For the most part I imagine your date may be just as nervous but it is better to know you are safe.

Its riddeled with scammer,s most are very good at scamming thier english is tainted by thier back ground and the red flags are many they are getting better, yet at the beginning the red flag will be with in the first line they will not show a photo of them selfs or voice some say they are in the Millitary if they do scammer, and end it right there or are working on the oil rig scammer, some will say sorry i,m not here often as i,m away working and send me your email if you dont they lose it and demand you send it.

They make out they have lots of money and buildings or when can we meet do not ever give out any of your info ,,,,,,,NOT EVER,,,,,,,,,or send money .

To check them out go to our German forums on Scammer,s and theres other,s as well ,

If you do ....IF.....you get invited out do not ever leave a drink alone it will get drugged check with the people who work in the bars or where ever if they know the person your with do have a back up the barman or bar lady are all knowing whats going on so all ways have 10 min chat with them , get to know them before you meet who ever .

And if you do get asked back to his flat or room or where ever make sure you have rung your backup friend tell them where you are no room or place all details and state you will ring in ...say 20 min,s or 30 min,s to say all is well if you dont ring tell you friend to ring the Police or a male friend and get the oner on the job with the key and get you out,

I know of and yes knew some who were killed , so just a warning be Bloody Carefull. okay.
