The magazine "Cosmo" had a couple of covers that showed over-weight (obese) women. The covers also had the print "This is healthy".
While the heavy set models had attractive smiles and were both youthful, if obese is healthy, why were the models posing in gym gear?
You can still technically be in good health for a time while obese, but it usually catches up to them eventually in one way or another. Exercise does not always result in weight loss but can still help with your health overall. I know it's more about showing all body types so people feel more comfortable in their own skin than actually showcasing healthy people. We can't tell someone is healthy just by looking at them either way.

Cherry, see Heather's comment above, she caught my point I think. Using nonsense to make people "feel good" is irksome to me. I'd think Cosmo would know better.

Thanks
I think a good mental shape is very important, maybe more so than physical shape.
They are maybe looking at these people from the big picture.
I know I am careful looking after my body, but I would trade mental health for physical health if it was needed. Fortunately, I do have both, it's in the genes really.
I agree, genes. I've always been a believer in nature over nurture.
Seriously?
Only last week when I said:
"It is common knowledge, that you can neither increase or lose iq points. ":
You replied:
"Oh I don't believe that common knowledge or not. I think the ancient Greeks were on to something, strong mind, strong body. Both need exercising to maintain."

It's both for sure. We're all a combination of genetics and our environment/upbringing. Some of our beliefs may not be our own if we were given the choice to choose early on ;p

Practicing mindfulness and gratitude has helped me a lot.
I do a little mindfullness, but mostly, I try to ask myself in the evening "Was I happy today, to the extent that if tomorrow was similar would that be ok?"
