I really can't sit for long periods of time. I am constantly getting up and for more than five minutes. Actually the more I am on my feet the better I feel.
I can sit for up to six hours, reading a book.
Reading books takes incredible patience, but I have that patience. I LOVE reading: I enjoy every word, sentence and paragraph.
Apart from the cooking of meals and other housework I have probably spent time doing at least a couple of hobby things as well during that time. I am always on the move and struggle to find the time to read these days. It is only around nine at night that I like to settle down and relax with a detective story on the TV for a couple of hours until bedtime.
The only thing I have ever found to help stiff scars was wheatgerm oil, and even then, it often had no effect.
I have a scar on my leg which seems to be improved a bit with oil. It is time which has the most effect though. I use the oil occasionally as my skin can get dry and occasionally break into sores if I don't keep on top of it.

Frequency of moisturising is more important than the quality used.

I ought to have gone to the doctor as the sores did not go away with usual moisturiser, even though I use it daily. I tried vaseline which did work though and cleared things quickly. I find I get an ichyness which prompts me to rub in oil which nips it in the bud. It does not happen often.
1. I use foot cream 2. I use Nivea Soft for my face 3. I use Aqueous cream for my hands
I use moisturiser daily: and have done so for many years.
You need to find an alternative to Aqueous Cream. It has been found to damage the skin if used regularly. I know it is cheap, and easy to apply, but I am telling my patients to stop using it, and have been for a few years now.
Baby cream, or lotion is just as cheap, and a much safer product.

I got the results from my medical examination: I have high cholesterol and low vitamin D levels. This means I'll need to take vitamin D supplements. As for my cholesterol I don't know what they'll advise.

Avoid things bad for your liver, you dont drink or smoke so thats two things in your favour. But I imagine they will advise diet changes
The vit D can be helped by spending more time outdoors ,a 15 minute walk each day should return your levels to normal unless you are unable to produce vit d.. When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it makes vitamin D from cholesterol. So even more reason to get out and about.

Exactly as Cassie says. Skin absorbs sunlight and vitamin D gets synthesised by the body.
I'm back from my cruise and I feel fine. I was a little worried because of the close contact with so many people but as far as i know there were no issues with covid.

The cruise ship we are going on has a problem just now with d&v. As soon as it gets to port, it is going to be deep cleaned.

Not a promising start. I hope they get it sorted well.

I am sure it will be cleaned very well. I have seen some videos of how extensive the cleaning is.
Went to the cardiologist on Friday. Interestingly enough, during the EKG, my heart did actually show something for once. I was getting double PACs... I could feel them, and it felt gross of course. The doctor did say they can be harmless and normal at least, but I will be having an echo in a couple months... and I also have bruits in my carotids, so getting an ultrasound of that soon.... He agreed the bruits could be due to my goiter, which IDK if that will mean I need to get my thyroid removed sooner rather than later to not cause a stroke somewhere down the line if it's compressing anything. I was hoping it would go back down, but so far it's not looking that way.
Now I am wearing an event monitor for two weeks.. it feels weird having this thing on my chest... I keep feeling itchy underneath, and can't do anything about it lol I keep feeling things that I'm not even sure is an actual heart palpitation, so I press the button, and maybe I can learn more about the sensations that way if they mention some of them were nothing. I just can't always tell unless it's the extremely heavy, obvious types.. I get these little blips or just a sudden shift feeling that I am unsure about.

I hope you settle down with it after a while. Anything new is a little irritating.

I don't know why y'all insist on going into large crowds and putting yourselves at risk. What is so bad about staying home and staying safer? It only takes 15 min of exposure to get Covid. Being on a ship with nobody masked and breathing in everyone else's air is just asking for trouble. I don't understand why anyone would want to invite Covid, RSV, or the flu into their life. I'd rather remain a recluse. My life is worth more than that than to go endangering it on purpose.

Although I do agree, when there is a known risk, I think that we just have to be careful. Some exposure is good as we develop some resistance to bugs. Take the example of some isolated peoples, back in history, though. Whole groups have been almost wiped out because they had no resistance to a bug brought in.

jen , youre right of course measles was devestating to many indiginous people.
But I can see where Mary is coming from too. During 2021 when there was a relaxation of the rules ..I saw people charging headlong to soccer matches and race days. My daughter refused to return to the office and as it turned out rightly so, one of the race fans bought covid back from his fun day out several collegues caught it and a 32 yr old father of 2 from my daughters team died .
Was it really worth it?
Of course everyone has to make these descisions for themselves but I have to admit I cant see myself ever feeling happy about being in a crowd again, last week when I went to get my glasses some woman came into the optitions and started hacking up a lung, I just made sure I was as far away as possible. And left as quickly as possible.

Heather, wishing you the best. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

You wouldn't ever catch me on a cruise, but that predates COVID lol I don't like being trapped like that.
