I just respect myself and my body. I don't drink or take drugs. I don't abuse medication. I eat healthily. I do everything I can to stay healthy. I see the medical services regularly, too. I see my doctor once every 3 months for a medical review. We - basically - go over my medications and other issues. I have to have regular blood tests. I don't like them but put up with them. The doctor can't prescribe me medicine if I don't have blood tests.
Anyhow, food-wise it is healthy veg & meat. A bit of dairy. Not too much ice cream. Although I do have a terrible sweet tooth. I just can't help it!
All I know today is that I need a longer sleep. But with the bright sunny sky and hot weather, it isn't easy.
It is due to my chronic illness for me... it gives me chronic fatigue. Sleeping too little makes it much worse, but sleeping a good amount doesn't make the brain fog go away, so I always feel partially tired and "out of it" in my brain. You do become used to it, but it doesn't make it less unpleasant.
Sleeping assessments suggest that if you feel great when you awake, then you missed having enough sleep the day before. Whereas if you feel much the same every day ie not great, that's a normal sleep pattern.

I couldn't go without my sleep.
I fall asleep at 11pm every single night. I may wake up in the night, but then I go back to sleep. However, I often nap in the day: it recharges my batteries.

So many people do, alsr: I just fall asleep so easily. I do love my sleep. And sleep is part of self-care for me. Sleep heals my body and gives me energy in the day. Sleep also helps brain health.
I am glad to get as much sleep as I do. This includes the odd nap.
