I like looking at cacti, but I don't think I'm the right type of person to own any... I'm very clumsy, and I trip over my own feet at random sometimes lol doing that into some cacti would be disastrous!

Heather they can be quite painful. I often get stabbed when I am weeding near them. It is so hard to get the little needles out of your skin without breaking them.
A bit brighter again - I noticed the cacti near my back door are flowering. These are only out during spring / summer / autumn and then shelter in the greenhouse for winter:
I love cacti. I have 4 around my house. The biggest being about 12 feet tall.
My biggest was in the house and got to about 5 feet. At that it was too large for the bay windowsill it was on and had to go into the greenhous. It sadly died.
Today I harvested some potatoes and cleared out some planters in which the produce has finished. I planted a few (old) seeds - radishes, turnips,. lettuce and carrots. It may be too late in the year but time will tell.

Wow, five feet in the house. That's impressive. All of mine are outdoors.

WOW, that was something in our climate.

It was one of these so tall and thin candidegardening.com/GB/plants/e1c706ef-a1cb-4e8d-9d31-2f6228319bf0. I have something similar indoors but it's needed re-potting for years so is restricted and does not grow very quickly so is only about one and a half feet. A modern home is a bit like the desert with warm dry atmospere. Our front window gets very hot in the summer as the curtains are often closed to shield from the bright sun so the temperature may well often be in the 90's or higher. My poor venus flytraps have looked failrly poorly recently but they tend to recover quickly when it cools a bit.
We have some coneflowers sprouting now from our wildflower mix... mostly yellow ones, but we have one lone flower that is multi-colored off by itself. The yellow ones are only about 6 inches shorter than our mailbox at this point.
We also have cornflowers... right now mostly ones that are white with pink in the center instead of the more typical blue-ish color. I call them the albino ones lol
There's also these nice orange flowers that I have no idea what they are. I can't identify them 100%, and it wasn't something listed on the seed mix... so it's a random surprise, but I think it looks like a type of poppy?? I found one called a "California Poppy" and it really looks like it, but that's not supposed to be part of my native seed mix xD The stems and leaves almost have a blue tinge to the green... It spreads kind of wide. It's pretty!

There's a nice mixture. Around me, except for the odd exception, there are usually only the traditional red variety but there are now one or two escaped opium poppies creeping in. They do sometimes grow fields of them for medical use.

Yes, I always picture the red ones when people mention poppies, and I had no idea there was so much variety of them. I don't see them too often, but they are pretty! I am inspired to grow some after having the random orange one growing in my yard. You can harvest poppy seeds for bagels and such from the ones I linked I think lol but I just want them for ornamental purposes really. Not too big on poppy seeds.

My parents have one mango tree. My brother planted it. I think it didn't produce fruit for many years, so they thought it never would.. and then it randomly did, but I think they don't come out very big.
