I think what we know as paprika here is what others call bell peppers?


We eat an awful lot of them . Paprika is a very popular flavour for crackers and crisps ( potato chips) here too.

I don't own the seasoning, but I've eaten it on things. I don't notice much taste from it usually lol it's very mild.. unless there are stronger versions.

Apparently, it's just a ground type of red (not bell) pepper.

For the most part, supermarkets in the US stock the sweet variety (and smoked). Hot paprika is a little harder to find, but not impossible. I ordered mine from Amazon (Pride of Szeged), but I ran across a couple of well-known brands which also make it...McCormick and Simply Organic. I wouldn't know which local stores to visit for those.

Sometimes, it's just better to pay a little more at Amazon than waste time and gas going from store to store.

Yes; although I think I would use them in fertilser, as I've seen them used in articles, rather than try to bake

My aunt in Ireland has been doing that for years: it is an old trick.

So many young people can't cook.
My daughter-in-law could barely make a sandwich.
Her parents said it wasn't her place to be in the kitchen because she was destined for Greater things my son said if she wants to eat she will learn to cook. He is a chef.

And I remember once at work a woman was on the phone to her daughter who was living in halls at university.
The girl was asking how to cook potatoes and the mother was explaining you peel them and put them in water until just the nose's are showing then bring them to the boil and let them cook for about 15 minutes.
About 10 minutes later the phone went the girl was on the phone almost in tears..... Mum, she said I peeled the potatoes but how do I know where their noses are?

I'm making extracts for the first time this weekend. Vanilla, orange and lemon.

I'm not much for staying in the kitchen long, so I tend to find recipes with few ingredients and simple instructions. Smart tactic when the kiddos tend to go nuts right about the time for meal prep! Also, I'd rather be reading, chatting, or doing something online.

I think we do pretty well for food despite my lack of interest in the preparations. I love to eat, though!

Gotta balance the love of eating with a strong desire to fit into the current clothes...
