There is a rumour that Apple will release iPhone SE 2023 in March or earlier. Now, that's cool if it comes true. I have a pending birthday gift from hubby whenever I am ready to get a new phone. My SE (1st gen) is so ever loyal to me (or me to it) and I haven't got the reason to replace it yet.
I had the same old phone for a long time... but it became obsolete for some of the uses I needed it for. That's the main reason I ever update my phone lol I'm definitely not into buying a new phone constantly just to have a new phone. Most upgrades don't matter enough for me personally to change that often IMO.
I do like my new camera on my cell phone now for the most part... almost can't tell the photos are from a phone xD Although, my digital camera is old, so I guess the quality of it isn't far off from today's phones!?

I am the same. I can find plenty to buy before changing my phone just to be more trendy.
My farther always says that he wishes they never came about. He rather have his land line. He says he was happy with that.
Nope, not me. I love the freedom you get from a mobile phone. Of course that does mean having a different one for work. That one stays at home, except on work days......

I can understand that and still like to use the landline for most serious calls. I find my mobile useful though as it is a good number to give when some of these companies require a number. It's seldom on so junk calls are wasted. I use it when I need to, rather than the landline which is always on.

I'm with you Cherry but I really try not to use it as much when I am out.
I kind of need a new phone too since Apple apparently already cut support for it. My phone is an iPhone 8 Plus.
I really do not wish to return to Android since I am used to how Apple does things on their operating system. It's just that Apple tends to be expensive af.
Though there is a T-Mobile deal that comes with my work benefits.

It may be best to go for the more expensive smart phone: your bank account won't be happy but it is an investment in the long-run. When you're certain you've chosen the right phone, then I'd buy it: your phone should last a good five years. Again, your bank account will be strained but you'll be glad you spent more money on the right phone.

I prefer to go for 'last year's' wonder phone. Once the hype has died and the 'latest thing' has arrived the price of 'last year's wonder phone' is a sensible price.
I noticed that my phone needed recharging the other day. I am wondering about it's battery. If it fails I may revert to the old one I still have. It is a Nokia dating from the early 2000's. It's battery still seems OK. No smartphone here

I'm contemplating getting an iPhone 13 mini with max storage. I currently have a 12 mini (my first iPhone) with the minimum amount of storage. It currently holds my entire CD library, but just. I really like its size. The iPhone 14 doesn't come in a mini, and I doubt that Apple will make any more of them.

How times change. For so long they just go smaller and smaller, an now............
