Years ago we bought a BMW, I didnt like the attitude it got from other drivers. BMW drivers dont have a good rep here.
They didn't in Germany, either, when I was there. Things could have changed in the last 40 years, though.
It's funny how you've mentioned before that Tesla drivers seem to be the aggressors where you are. IMO, the large pickups driven by men are the worst here (overcompensating for something, maybe?), followed by Audi drivers. I wonder what it's like in other states.

It's usually people in any large vehicles around here being the worst drivers. They can't turn, stay within the lines, or park in a single spot..... men and women, but it does seem to be the women in particular that can't stay in their lane more-so LOL
Any pricey sports car has a bad rep for speeding and being inconsiderate drivers as well... it usually is true, unfortunately.

I bought earrings yesterday. One of my neighbours had a booth at the weekend festival. I found one pair with maple leafs and "eh" for Canadian flavour, one that says "mama," and also chose Pikachu! (I get too much Pokemon talk, but he's so cute and I wanted them! LOL) Also grabbed a pair that was a paint palette, for my mum since she painted a bunch when I was young (and makes her own scrapbook paper sometimes when she can't find a design she likes).
I came home with mini donuts as well, since I'd told the kids I could pick some up. At the last event set up in that park, it was kettle corn that I brought back!

My youngest is currently in Vancouver. She is there on a conference. I have some great pictures just arrived today. She says she likes it.
While we are discussing car buying. I posted this here back in 2015. You may not have seen it.
I had originally posted it on a mostly male van forum.
As I said earlier I am a female van owner. Nothing spectacular about that in my mind, nor most of yours I am sure.
But when I went to look at my first VW Caddy, the sales guy did not really know what to do with me. I had already done my homework, so I knew I wanted a Caddy, and I knew it had what I wanted, so for me it was just a matter of finding a good one at a good price.
In fairness the salesguy was also the owner, head mechanic and only boss to one other mechanic.
However the sales technique was interesting.
How many of you men were sold a van with the following:
"It is very white. Of all the vans, it is probably the whitest, so it will look nice when polished.
The seats are not plastic, a lot of other vans have plastic seats.
You can put carpet on the floor in the back, and whatever colour you want.
There is a huge cubby hole up top for all your,.,.,.,.,. eh,.,.,.,.,. stuff. [That was my favourite as he went a little pink]
The doors are wide for climbing in.
The mats are rubber so easy clean in the footwells. "Those are the footwells, there!"
I have sold vans to other women."
In fairness he was doing his best, he was very friendly, and he did not ask, or even suggest that I could bring a guy to help me.
He only was agreeable to knocking £100 off though, and that was a £4,000 van.
I didn't buy the van, but it was not because of his attitude, I quite liked him, and he certainly was not actively sexist. He just was not comfortable, and didn't know how to deal with women.
I ordered a couple of water bottles yesterday. We were one short after a cheap one didn't make it through the dishwasher well - the bottom changed shape (presumably from the heat) and so the bottle could no longer stand up on its own. Oops!
I like that. It looks as if it could drive straight through a wall.
My car looks like the white one but color is more like a blueish tone called fire storm. The details are quite thoughtful such as the sun/moon roof has a net and the car will lock itself when no one is in the car. Also, when I park in a darker area and get out of the car, there is a sign mark on the ground with sign BMW so that I could watch my step. We can set up seatings and mirrors position for each driver and have them memorized... Overall, it has quite a few features that cars twice as expensive have.
I know what I wont be buying talking of cars.. The hire car I used this week was an Opel Corsa. There was no sat nav even though it had a screen the size of a small tv in it, although the seat was adjustable so that I wasnt actually sitting on the floor the windscreen is so small that when my seat height was good I had to lean down and forward at every traffic light to see the actual lights. The rear window is black edged so much so that I felt like a peeping tom staring through a letter box slot and the mirrors I know that views between rear view and side mirrors differ but OMG this was crazy, in the side mirrors it looked as if you had miles of room to pull out but a glance at the rear view and you realised that the other car was actually in your boot (trunk). The hatch is slightly rounded so that getting anything wide into the back was a PITA, and the seats were some kind of torture device. So hard that even my well padded bottom ached and the edge so sharp that my leg lost feeling from the knee down and I had to stop just to stamp around and restore blood supply..all in all Id say it was
Mind you at least I wouldnt waste my time considering buying one!

I love all these new features that cars have now. I know it is more to go wrong but.....
