I discovered the Nu Finish paste formula I've been using the last 40+ years has been discontinued. I decided to buy one of their liquid formulas. I try to detail Goldie in April and October, but the weather on the weekends last month was crappy. Now, I just need a nice weekend without snow, rain or wind.

My stepson will get married next year on 5/17. My niece, also goddaughter, will get married on 5/31. I have to start shopping very soon.
You have some expense ahead of you. My son will be having his formal wedding some time this year, or next, He is a lovely lad, but not altogether well planted. I had hoped his wife would be.
New glasses. I wanted a 2nd pair of the same prescription, so went ahead and did that. They are more of a brown-ish color this time instead of black, slightly larger, as my current pair were intended for children. I just couldn't find anything for adults that fit my face lol but this one was a bit better. The manager said she intentionally asked for more smaller glasses instead of all the giant ones that are popular because not everyone can pull that look off (ME lol).
It is car insurance time and I have just taken it out for another year. I found that I am not believing that the rate of inflation has come down. My insurance went up in a big way last year and they were asking an over 40% increase this. Shopping around a bit I did find a lower quote but it was still vasly in excess of last years prices. That is without any claims or detremental changes either. All in all my bills this year have increased substantially over previous years.

Insurance, both home ad auto are out of control here in Florida. I can only imagine how much it will go up this year.

I've bought so many things lately... After much trial and error, I've finally found a bra that fits well these days (Glamorise won out, not that I cared about lift so much as not having a uniboob). I also found that trying out a clinical strength deodorant was a huge blessing. I'm using one that's marked stress response, and it's certainly helping me stress less about sweating and reeking! Oh, the 40's are a fun age!
I bought my mum earrings for Mother's Day when there was a spring festival near home, and I bought a couple sets for myself, plus fancy bookmarks that might not be practical but they're still awesome for my collection! My kids don't buy me gifts yet, so I get to shop for myself and get some frivolous things each year for Mother's Day, birthday, and Christmas.
I have a used copy of the Northanger Abbey (2007) DVD coming for the eventual day when we're done (or almost) with our readthrough of the book. That's going slower these days because the middle guy sometimes goes to bed early rather than staying up for a readaloud time. Ah well, change in reading habits is inevitable! Yay for getting to watch a movie version soon!
And I've stocked up on extra snacking supplies for our trip out of town in June - protein bars, but also protein cookies! (Genius!) Soon I'll grab a box of dried fruit bars for that trip as well, and we have some large water containers to fill so we won't need to spend much on drinks between fast food or restaurant meals!
