I'll be buying Gillette shave gel: the alternative is utter rubbish. It doesn't foam up and is too thin. It offers no protection against the razor at all.
The usual groceries yesterday. I glanced at the clothing but didn't see anything I liked.
With the groceries I did buy quite a bit of meat, some of which I needed to cut into smaller joints. My freezer is now well full again.
I am still winding down my freezer from no buy January. Currently, the top, and bottom drawer is full of stuff I cannot eat, as there is still some food from pre-january in the middle two drawers. I am currently defrosting some peeled prawns for tomorrow. I always defrost in the fridge, it saves energy.
I did have to buy those top and bottom drawers as they were bargains. Yesterday I got fours large rump steaks for only £3.50.

I've been organising cables around here lately! First we got little "doodads" for winding up earbud sets, then I bought a travel case for carrying charging cables. It's small for all that we use at home, but it will be great the next time we have to go out of town for a medical appointment (expecting one of those trips this year). So I have a larger case coming for taking care of the cables while at home. I also haven't used these yet, but I bought a set of cable wraps to bundle up some of the mess behind the TV stand...
And I've ordered protein powders to shake up my usual food choices a bit and go for leaner sources of protein. I'm not sure how often I'll go for smoothies, but I was thinking that the powders would go well in oatmeal.
Our kitchen scale needed replacing, so I took care of that as well.
No surprise: I tossed a used book in a recent order. I have two more I want to buy, so just getting one seems like restraint!
I got my mid week groceries yesterday. We needed quite a bit so the list was almost as long as for the main Sunday shop. I use two other supermarkets than the one on Sunday though. I buy certain things from certain places to get the best deals and wait until I am passing closeby so it is cost effective to call in then buy several of the same item so I don't need to make a special trip.

Sounds familiar.
It's my money, and I am not going to give it away lightly.

It sometimes feels like I'm always buying purses, but my tastes change or the purse itself wears out... This time, I want something a little bigger than the crossbody purse I bought last (great for travelling light for a walk), but still a cloth look and lightweight.
I wanted to add some storage crates to my bedroom closet (milk crate style) and found a warehouse deal at Amazon. Hopefully they're as sturdy as the ones I had snagged locally before!
I just discovered a couple nights ago what a shrug is in clothing terms. (Took me long enough!) I've got one coming, and thinking of trying other fabrics as well. Sometimes I want my shoulders covered but not a full cardigan...

The kids had fun with the kitchen scale today when it arrived. A toy, as well as something practical!
Yesterday, I ordered a used copy of a book the oldest keeps getting out of the library, and which I keep forgetting to read. Found a decent price and thought, "Why don't we have a copy we can keep?" It's about the history of the Internet!
I need to start researching for a trip in June, happening around my birthday but actually for a medical appointment (vein specialist). First up will probably be checking out the hotel recommended by the medical office (since it's close and offers medical discounts) and then a decision of how many nights to stay - since this coincides with my birthday, I might extend the usual quick trip and enjoy a slower pace. It would be nice if I could find someone to do all the driving, too, but that's unlikely! One thing is usually needed for sure on this type of trip: visiting the really big bookstore in the biggest mall in the city!
