He wants better background checks, no assault weapons, and he wants to crack down on the gun show loophole. He has a poor rating by the NRA, so he isn't really someone who I would say opposes gun control =p Also, he wants to expand mental healthcare which would decrease the likelihood of someone who is unstable being able to legally get a gun.

We definitely do need to reconsider which Schedule marijuana is listed as. It DOES have medicinal use, and yet it's included under the most dangerous list. A bit odd, no? Seems a bit out of place there.

It's more popular in the US to decriminalize it, but maybe that's because we have more severe punishment of people caught with small amounts of marijuana. If it was like that in the UK, then it would be a more popular issue, too, I would assume.

Drug companies are powerful here, too. They want to create synthetic forms and patent it most likely. It's not really about helping people... it's just about making money. How sad.
