I think that apart from the forum rules, we should unpin all the stickies.

With so few of us using the forums, they are, at best, pointless, and at worse, they are getting in the way of seeing quickly what 'we' are talking about most. It may also look bad when newbies go into the stickies and see that they haven' been posted in for weeks or even months.

If/when the forum gets busy, we could re-start them.

I'm for and against it. I'll say why I'm for because you covered the against already =p

Stickied threads makes it easier to remain organized, and it can give people an idea about where to start; it does add more direction for newcomers and guests when getting to know the forum.

So maybe in some boards it should be kept, and some it can be removed. Or some might still need one or two, depending on just how relevant it is to the whole board.

For example, General chit chat.. we probably don't need as many stickied in there. I would say... maybe our Random/Off-topic one can be kept?

I feel like the Hobbies board makes sense to have stickies, though. We stickied some of the top hobbies and entertainment topics people would talk about, so it works well for in there.

Aside from that, it's mainly the "all things" type of threads that should probably stay stickied to keep it organized, I think.

I like the Shoutbox, but believe that it should only be used by those that are online at the time. That's why I delete my old posts. But, if it is only used by those online, nobody would be here.

Is there any chance we could get a 'mark as unread' button? I would find that very useful...

So, I did some digging, and someone else asked for the same thing, but they said it does not exist at this time. People can make suggestions for plugins and developers can create them if enough people want them. That one does not seem to be a popular idea yet, so it could be a while.
