what are you grateful for today?

I'm grateful to be on top of the laundry.

Someone said they expected I would be glad once we are finished with the windows.

In a way yes I will , but on the other hand Im so grateful for this time OH and I have had together working as a team just as we always have without the shadow of illness.

As he works his old self shines through, resourceful and talented .. Im grateful for having his old self even if it comes with hard work..

That my daughter understands me, we had talked about my birthday and agreed a nice bufffet style dinner will be a good idea.

This morning she phoned me to break a secret but my son ahd phoned her said he wanted to come over and spring a surprise party on me, complete with the Dutch tradtion of a huge doll in the garden announcing my age etc,
My daughter just checked with me to make sure I really didnt want that,, good girl ! it would be my worst nightmare,

Being part of a family.

I'm thankful for a sunny day with refreshing wind here and there.

My new fusebox.

I managed to get to a meeting in the next village and back yesterday without being soaked. I walked there and a friend gave me a lift back. It was raining but i was well prepared. Walking keeps me fit and it's such a bother getting the car out

Having a job.

I'm grateful that we made it through the storm safely but am saddened by all the destruction that has happened. My best wishes and prayers go out to all that have suffered losses.

Annie. I am too. Right now we are watching a topical wave crossing the Atlantic that might have some chance of becoming a storm. Early models show it coming all the way across and into the same area where the last two became hurricanes so this is of some concern. 

I heard about the storms in Florida on the news: and I thought "kjay lives there". It is weird when someone you know is on the national news.
