We had a lovely day walking in the forest and making use of our gifts to ourselves...Ski trousers.. Now if you know Holland you know its as flat as a pancake but that means the wind has nothing to stop it and it can cut like a knife chilling you to the bone. With our new ski trousers we had a great walk in very cold weather and we still had warm legs. Today it was even colder and a bit windy and again we had lovely warm legs.. So thats a hit. The dogs got new coats and they looked like little festive baubles one red and one green as they trotted along.
Dinner was delicious, chicken breast stuffed with mozzerella and sun dried tomato, then wrapped in bacon and roasted. Yum.
A quiet day nothing like Christmas of old or those you see on tv but it was ours and it made OH happy which is the most important thing.
We had a lovely day, a nice dinner with close friends and relatives. Then we sat around out on the lanai and had a few drinks and spent some time in the hot tub.
We had a lovely day yesterday. Lunch went well, spaced over three hours including a short break in the middle between the main meal and Christmas pudding. Today I finished off the Guinea Fowl (I am avoiding the scales lol). Presents were nice. I relaxed and only turned the computer on all day to see my son, his wife and grandaughter.

We had our dinner on the 24th, and that went well. Easy to put together, and yummy! Then we read Christmas books until the usual bedtime.
Christmas morning, we had croissants and mandarins. We opened gifts around 8 am! It's good to have time for the kids to start enjoying their gifts, so that worked well. There was even time to play in the snow later, and then they were off with their dad starting at lunchtime.
I had a good afternoon catching up on a couple videos, calling my mum, and getting in a walk around the neighbourhood. The evening was movies and Star Trek.

I watched "Star Trek: Generations" the other day on YouTube. I LOVE Star Trek. I am a huge fan. Oh: I watched "Dirty Dancing" on DVD today. A great classic.

I love the Dirty Dancing soundtracks!
I watched all of the Star Trek movies in order in 2019. I'd had a few of the BluRay discs without watching them right after they joined my collection, so I decided it was time! Should do that again in 2022.
I still have the Call the Midwife Christmas special to watch. I haven't been a regular viewer in years, but I thought I'd tune in again. Should check if PBS has the anniversary special available to stream, too, since I missed that one on the PVR.

I have been considering doing this myself.
Instead I'd watch them on YouTube, but it is the same difference.
Out of curiosity, which is your favourite movie out of the Star Trek franchise, Rebecca?

I put my favourites in categories because picking just one is too hard. So favourite of the original series time (Voyage Home), then Next Gen (Generations), or Kelvin timeline (maybe Beyond, but they're all good). Even with that, it's tough. I found something to love in each one!

Have you watched Picard the series yet? My son who is an avid ST fan wasnt impressed but OH and I liked it.

Yep, I have Picard and Discovery on discs to watch over and over. Only ST series I'm not watching is Lower Decks - adult animated series tend to go to the crude side of humour, which isn't for me.
