I've been doing some cleaning and working on my English course. I am studying "Wuthering Heights". I must know more about that book than Emily Bronte did!
The way we analyse books so much makes me wonder if the writers would appreciate such scrutiny. Maybe they'd say, "Just read and enjoy, or move on. You folks are crazy!"
I'm not a fan of most Bronte plots and characters, but that's probably because Jane Austen won me over and left the Brontes in the dust. I know there are people who enjoy both Austen and Brontes, but so far that hasn't happened to me. I do think it's cool that Anne Bronte tackled some really tough subject matter, but I think I forgot to try actually reading her books after hearing about them. (Shame on me!)

I remember "Wuthering Heights" from school as it was a set book. I didn't get very far though as, at least at the time, it was not in my taste at all. I'd much prefer something like "Alice in Wonderland". Now there is a good book for analysis (as I know many have done)
I'm incontinent anyway, so this type of thing happens all the time, but it was all ready cold and wet anyway.. so walking home in a wet diaper- in the rain, not cool.
oh I also got told by someone I look like someone who's not eaten in days
technically true, (most nights I just throw up what i've made), but didn't realise how noticeable it was.
no sleep again last night- first because I needed to throw up, then because I wasn't even tired, then because I needed to go in my diaper, and then because I had leg cramps

Sat in all afternoon, waiting for the gas meter man to cancel coming round to change my meter.
He did.
Re-booked for tomorrow.
My stepson has booked several times to get a smartmeter fitted. Each time they have cancelled and he has claimed compensation from them because of it. It's easy money for him but it was tedious and he got fedup trying and told them he didn't want the meter..

I had a big tidyout yesterday. We have a large sideboard full of DVD's photographs and all manner of things but it's back has been loose for some years and things have been falling through. It was time to move it and sort things. This meant removing most things as it would otherwise be too heavy to move. It was well overdue but all I found of value were half a dozen CD's and a book of stamps lol. It needed a good cleanout and the back was fixed so a job well done

This is important: you have to sort through things and let go of the past.
There are not many things I have from the 1980's: my childhood. I tend to move on and accept I cannot turn back time. I LOVED my childhood, but - again - have few items from that time. I guess moving to an apatment makes you go forward. Of course, things to have to be continually re-assessed and thrown out or given away, but it is cleansing to release the past into the ether and move on with my life.

I tidied our storage shed a bit today while getting out the broken items that will hopefully be picked up tomorrow. (After assuming people will be here when they say, I'm less confident now! At least I'm not going to pay much for the service - it's a cheap one, so I'll definitely recommend to others if the guy is good!)
There was a bit of garbage to take out after that, since I save some old items like my mum does - "just in case I need that later"... Now I have less in that category, but couldn't bring myself to chuck it all! I'm getting better and better at evaluating what should occupy the storage space, though, so there's hope for a potential packrat like me!

I am going out for lunch today, which I am looking forward to!
I have been spared from going to Sweden this year: I have two exams to do. There's no way I can go to Sweden AND do my English exams. It is my English exams that are more important: I am sure my nan will understand this.

Its a pity that you cannot do both Candy. Both are important things. Are there likely to be cheaper flights available later in the year?
I say it all the time.. the excitement is killing me.
Something I remember someone saying when I was in my teens. We were somewhat bored at the time and he suggested that he was 'cultivating boredom'. I liked the term. It makes things sound better.

Getting ready for Easter Sunday. I've been wanting to try something with Meyer lemons. A couple of weeks ago, I ran across a cake recipe which calls for a homemade Meyer lemon curd as well. I just finished making the curd. Now, it needs to chill for the flavor to develop before baking the cake.
