OH got eggs this morning , we have walked the dogs and had breakfast. Today is dog meat day weighing and packing their meat for the next two weeks.. The dogs eat like kings! pheasant rabbit lamb and goat to name a few of the things on their menu.
Busy, busy, busy. It was one of those days at work today. If it could go wrong, it did...
Oh dear I hope today is better!
I got out for a long walk yesterday but got very tired. Luckily I was able to drop off in the afternoon. I slept fairly well last night so I must hav the tiredness bug

I already know it will be unless something drastic happened last night that I don't know of.

I accidentally let my sister down today: I had forgotten she had a medical appointment and couldn't get to the house in time for lunch. I was supposed to have left earlier and gotten lunch for us both: but typical me, I had completely forgotten about her appointment and left getting ready too late. Needless to say, she was not happy on the phone.

Maybe I am getting the wrong idea from your posts, but your sister does not seem to have much empathy towards you.

Not when I let her down, no.
I had a chat on the telephone with my sister last night. She said she appreciates me helping out and that there is no obligation for me to do so. But then I told her, I help her out because I want to: never because I feel "obligated". I help because I like being nice.
Anyhow, today I have drunk my caffetterie coffee. I shall have my shower shortly and then clean my bathroom and kitchen.
I had to pop out this morning but took the opportunity to buy some caustic soda to sort the bathroom sink drain which doesn't drain well. It needs sorting before it blocks totally
I once had to use my hand to clear an outside drain.
I pulled out a jellified decomposing rat.
I couldn't get my hands clean enough after that. I probably took off the top layers of skin.
Yuk!
Ours came to the crunch when the washing machine outlet overflowed under the sink. The pipes needed dismantling but they were plastic with easy tighten screws so easy but the pipes were full of jellified foul smelling slime. They cleaned out easy but the main sink drain was getting slightly sluggish. The washing machine also overflowed again but I think (and am hoping) that I didn't push the pipe into the drain far enough. Now, after treatment, the sink drain is running freely and the pipe is pushed in as far as it can go so all should be Ok on the next wash (fingers crossed).
The bathroom sink, on the other hand, is still sluggish after treatment but it is improved so I hope a few tries will get it sorted without dismantling. I suspect it is an accumulation of hair

Awful.. OH has seen a lot in his time the worst was a woman who blocked the drain all the way to the main road it was full of disposable nappies and wet wipes and when he got into the main drain and released the blockage it hit him full force. He drove home bare foot , sitting on plastic sheeting then stripped naked in the garden and had me hose him down before coming inside for the longest shower ever.
More yechy than my story was a guy who came round when our toilet drain outside blocked up. To say he had stuff all over his hands is not an exaggeration. When I took him a coffee he wiped his hands on his trousers, pulled out his tobacco tin and rolled himself a cigarette, and smoked it. ew, ew, and ewwwwwww

I worked a short day from home, followed by getting my catalytic converter etched and entering it in the International Security Registry (ISR)...what fun!

I can't wait to see the new spotlights the gardeners just installed today. I told them I wanted the dining area to be bright enough for outdoor dining.

I don't like to think
A quick tip. When our loo gets a minor blockage I find that a (5 litre?) watering can (without the sprinkler end) enables me to direct a jet of water just to the right place. Mostly a single can full sorts things without further hassle but be careful not to overflow the bowl. Having our cistern set to permanent low flush (it hasn't got a double rate option) means that it sometimes has difficulty coping.

Do they steal yours too? It's become a problem here but I have not heard of a registry.

I have never heard of anything like that. Is there that big of a problem with stealing them?

I had my daily shower today and did some life admin. I also am airing out my apartment and washed a quick load of laundry.
I shall be leaving soon, to go to my sister's house: we will be sorting her bedroom out. It was recently redecorated and completely re-organized. It looks really good now! She's had a purple/pink paint on her walls, grey curtains, a new wooden floor, a new mattress, new bed linen, a new lamp, new grey lightshade. It looks fabulous!
Hybrids and other gas sipping vehicles are especially prone, since their converters aren't as fouled as their gas guzzling counterparts. Still, all are at risk. My neighbor, who has an older Honda Odyssey, got hers stolen.
Of course, there's a lot to be said about using one's garage for its intended purpose, rather than store junk.
