It was our art group meet, as usual, yesterday.

There was a change though as I needed to get the keys,open up the hall and prepare things. The usual two people were away, one with a training day elsewhere and the other with a dubious covid test result.

All went well though and traffic through town was even quieter than usual

Dreadful. its like death race 2000 out there.

Ive had two red light jumpers and three dodgy lorries this morning all seemingly determined to wipe me out.

But the main shopping is done and DD has had her blood test the dogs have been walked twice and Im all set for a visit from OH's case manager this afternoon.. ( not that she does anything practical but hey ho)

I am finishing up my Givling spins... (it's an app where you watch ads for spins for points... gives you a chance of winning money to put toward student or house loans). I usually do it in the mornings, but I have been so tired and busy lately that I can't do it until the evening. I haven't won anything yet.... hoping to one day

I am only in the free queues, though.. I don't want to spend money toward it to sign up for any of the special offers from sponsors ;p Might be why I'll be waiting a very long time before/if I ever win anything.

It sounds like they are pretty much like other cold callers. They have a script that they follow and won't be deterred from the planned path. If I am in the mood I toy with them trying to divert them but usually hang up.

It reminds me of some of the bosses I have had. They hold a meeting which is nominally planned as being open but they have an agenda with their planned goal and will not deviate, even for valid points. It just used to amuse me when, as time passed, their subsequent actions showed that they had taken the points on board. The experience of autocratic management and (usually) male ego's.

Still, it is nice when the day gets better as time goes on.

Ive had a few lately telling me Ive won the lottery and if I provide my details they will transfer the money to my account... Now if only I did the lottery !

I'm emergency contact for my friend so if she falls or if the doctor needs to get hold of her quickly I'm the first person that they contact.

I actually do the same but once in a while I ppick up the phone if the identifier shows the business name.

My friend broke the glass vanity shelf above her basin in the bathroom. I ordered a new one for her and it arrived today. I've just come back from her house she likes the replacement so my husband will go over and fit it for her tomorrow.
