I'm not sure what that is but I've found that any kind of greasy contaminant in tea makes it taste terrible. That's possibly why I don't usually have milk in tea either, with the high fat content of milk.
When we did the Canaries, we went to a rum factory. We were rather tipsy after sampling lol, and came out with a bottle of chocolate rum, and a bottle of almond rum.

Just one of each? lol...
My youngest daughter took to it at the party, I will get her one for xmas.
I've had butter in coffee.. it's not bad. You'd have to use way too much of it to reach the levels of milk/cream, though lol but it can at least take some of the edge off at least instead of just drinking it black.
I don’t understand why this is even a long running debate since tea and coffee are two entirely different beverages. My friends told me it really comes down to British v. American so I don’t see any reason to care about the question of Tea or Coffee since the mere essence of the debate is asinine.

In this thread it isnt a debate its a conversation. Its about our choices like and dislikes its about comparisons..
As for your last sentence and especially your use of the word asinine . Thats rude and insulting to all of the ladies who have enjoyed taking part in this chat. But if thats how you feel about us .......

Not really British v American as both are commonly available, at least with with ethnic British people. Often just drunk on different occasions. I say that because I found a contrast when I was out working in the community. Many Asian households only had tea. No coffee at all. I suspect that with many American families it may be the other way round.
