I get involved with numbers in many other things I do. When I eat I like to relax and enjoy it. I like to keep active and being overweight to any great degree would not work so I naturally keep within limits. I have never couted calories as it is impossible to be exact.
I also keep within limits. If I eat dessert, I won't eat a candy bar later on. If I have a big dinner, I won't snack in the evening. If I have had lunch, I won't snack: I'll eat at dinnertime instead. I also will only have ONE bowl of ice cream. ONE bag of crisps. I seldom eat sweets: confectionary ruins the teeth and gives you diabetes.
Anyhow, with counting calories: it is time consuming, complex and plain difficult. I just won't count calories. Instead I use common sense.
I am probably the only one here that doesn't drink tea or coffee. Although I used to drink tea I have gotten away from it. I have never even had one cup of coffee in my life.

I may have mentioned this before, but I was fooled by the smell of the coffee once when I worked at Subway years ago. It smelled liked yummy vanilla, but unfortunately for me, it still tasted bitter. Never tried it again, though I would now know to use syrup for flavour and sweetness. But what's the point if you don't like coffee to start with? And so I stick with tea or water!

Yay, someone else that doesn't drink coffee. I'm not alone.

Many of those flavored beans/grinds smell a heckuva lot better than they taste.
I've liked only one gourmet coffee flavor. It was produced in nearby Manitou Springs...Jamaican Me Nuts. A coworker had brought just enough in for another to brew a pot. It smelled amazing! I didn't hold out much hope when he poured me a cup. It was fantastic! At Christmas that year, he stuck ribbons on single-pot packs and left them on our desks as presents.
Otherwise, I just take mine plain and black.

Yes I am turning back to tea more than coffee, I think. Every so often I have a big change in my diet / drinks and virtually drop something I have had for years, changing to something different. It often happens more with foods but to some extent with drinks too.

I quite enjoy peach tea.
You remind me that I need to get into town to the tea shop (near the cathedral). They have lots of flavoured teas. Peach is an option I haven't tried.
I keep reaching for the mandarin orange honeybush. Yum!
Is it very similar to Rooibos or different? I don't like Rooibos at all so I need to judge if it's worth a trying.
Totally different taste, IMO. If you get a chance to try it out without buying an entire box, go for it! (Of course, a box is probably about the same as one really big latte at a coffeeshop, so that's not too bad for experimenting.)
