I just order a bunch of taser guns and bear pepper sprays for my nieces, sisters and female cousins. I also made a good donation to GoFundMe for that grandma who beat up her attacker. An eye for an eye, that's how it should be.
You could just ask your family to stop coming round. No need to fight them off......

Isn't it a shame that we actually have to do things like this. We live in a world gone mad.
Most of my exes didn't live near me lol I usually end up just ignoring and deleting them all for one reason or another.
My last ex did try to get back with me after acting like it was the best decision ever to not be together anymore, but I refused to see him. He was just trying to make me jealous I guess, but I was actually done. We both were casually dating, and he would share his stories, so I shared mine... but that made him sick to his stomach lol oh well.. I tried to remain nice and friendly with him, but he was behaving so immature afterward, especially once I entered into the relationship I am in now, and I had to remove him from my life completely. He was basically arguing with my current SO and some of my friends online... I would say he was "butthurt" lol
My ex-husband and I are only getting along because of our son. Once my som gets married, I will have anything to do with him any more, for good.

I so agree with you Karen, I could believe I had to do it Karen, nothing has happened to anyone I know yet, but almost 3000 incidents happen to Asian American people in the last year is quite significant and 95% of the time is on elderlies and women. Those bastards are just cowards to go after the weak and helpless.

Exactly Annie. they are cowards. Preying on the vulnerable. As far as i am concerned that are at the bottom of society.

I guess seeing old celebrity couples does bring back memories of being young. But I still have crushes on some of them! For instance, I like James Dean Bradfield, who was the lead singer of Manic Street Preachers. He is particularly attractive: even today.
I don't read up on celebrities though: I just pin them on Pinterest and watch their music videos on YouTube. It is fantasy, though: pure and simple. They are just people who've done extraordinary work. And Bono is also one of those people. I mean, he's been top of the music industry since the Joshua Tree album. I can't remember much from that time, but U2 aced it in America.
What I am trying to say is famous people ARE interesting to read about.
The only reason I read them is because I got my news every morning from the internet and their news are right in my face when I turn my computer on. I read one or two things but that's all. I don't find any of them interesting.

This sounds so negative, but the actors walk away with all the cash. While I sit there like a dummy watching them act, thinking I've gained something by watching their film.
I feel like a loser when I watch a film: because I am pumping money into the film industry. An industry that has no care for me or other people. I don't even like the characters these actors play. A lot of the characters end up dead or being beaten up. So there is no way on this planet I'd sign up for Sky TV and watch films all day. I can't help liking some films, but realize I have to live my own life, too. I won't hide behind a film, instead of going out into the world. No matter how good the film.

I am not one for binge watching. I never watch progs back to back.
To my mind actors provide a service and are paid for it no difference between them and a football player or singer.. They provide entertainment for our leisure time. [b

Acting is a job, I agree: the same as a football player or nurse. The actors DO provide a service and get paid for it. Again, there ARE films I like: I just couldn't sit there for hours on end watching film after film. I'd go nuts.
I guess the world of film just is not for me, though. I've never wanted to be an actress: not even in school. I never took up drama, I never starred in school plays, I never watched actors in films wishing myself in their place. I'd love a more exciting life: just not in the world of film.

I was in a drama club at school and later in a drama club for students. We put on several shows across London and they were well received I enjoyed being on stage I enjoyed being a character but films and a film star no thanks.. Having your life put under a microscope constantly having people going through your rubbish to find out secrets about you, and gossiping about you in newspapers and magazines the paparazzi with their long lenses so you never have any privacy? eek no way...
For the athletes, I can see whay they should get more, their jobs are hazardous and the constant travelings but the acting profession?
Anyway, I think both are way overcompensated.
Agreed.
Is it coincidence that those professions are supported by agents...
Those agents are also way overcompensated, 25% cut is what they usually get. Even for the A-listers, the agents would get around 10-15%.
I once worked for a biotech about 25 years ago, the CEO's wife was a German movie producer and director, I helped her with the movie budget, I have an idea how much they got paid.

Jessica Alba - from her acting career alone - is worth a good $300 million. This does not include her business "The Honest Company".
I think because films generate so much money, the actors do receive a percentage of the sales. Say "Dark Angel" raked in $100 million in two years and Jessica Alba signed the contract that said she would get 30% of the total sales put into her bank account. That is where the money comes from. Plus, once that contract is signed, the actor MUST follow the script and do their absolute best to portray the character they've agreed to play. No matter how much they dislike changes in the script.
Jessica Alba spent two years filming "Dark Angel" season 1 and 2. She has also starred in more than 20 films over the course of her career. And she HAS worked incredibly hard: even when filming uncomfortable scenes. It isn't an easy job at times, but she is dedicated and deserves her many paychecks.
