TV and Film

I liked Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" a lot.

I won't defend Allen's lifestyle choices but to my knowledge charges weren't proven true.

Roman Polanski is living in France I think. He's another dicey character.

Special effect don't make a film. Blakes 7 was vastly superior to Star Trek, but Star Trek really looked the part, whereas Blakes 7 props were made from fairy lights ,and yoghurt cartons.

I'm surprised any actor would of taken a part like that.

We watched Alien again tonight. It still stands up well and the effects seem valid, even though they are dated.

One of my favorite movies.

I pretty much agree. The original Alien is still me favorite but closely followed by Prometheus. Maybe a viewing of one of these this weekend.

I shall have a look for that.

Blade Runner is the best sci fi film of all time.

The oldest read the books recently because we'd found them at the library book sale in January. (I don't think I've read anything I got then, just left it in a box for later. Oops!) He's not sure when he might watch the movies, but now I'm thinking of adding them to my list of potential viewing. I've got them on DVD, so no rush.

Finished the last one. Good series. I liked the ending.. I did predict it, but only because that's what I wanted to happen anyway lol

We watched Luther the fallen sun yesterday.

If you liked the series you will like the film. If youre not a Luther fan its not for you. The film is like an extended tv show its all Luther.

We enjoyed it.

I watched it over the weekend too.

Unlike the series, the new "Luther" movie doesn't have the character Alice.

Without Alice...eh
