The Disney movie “Lightyear” looks to be a box office flop.
I guess people go to movie theaters to be entertained and not indoctrinated.
I had to Google it.... because they have a lesbian couple in the movie?
Funny the ones against indoctrination are always people who literally indoctrinate their children with religion... Teaching hatred is okay I guess. How dare anyone learn acceptance..

They're just silly jokes, that's all. Thought they'd be a laugh, but you can skip them. Or put a favourite actor's name in. Or, better yet, your favourite Doctor, hee hee.
We've now seen The Night of the Doctor because it was a special feature on the Doctor Who movie DVD.

You can't go wrong with Star Trek! I love the later television series more than the first. BUT - that said - they ARE true classics.
I guess because the first Star Trek series was filmed in the 1960's it just is not for me. But much later on I preferred the show: improved technology certainly helped boost its popularity even further.

Totally get that. Once I started reading Trek novels and watching those movies, I appreciated the original series more, but there are still times that I'm taken out of the story of an original episode because of some aspect that screams 60's in an unflattering way!

I find that a bit now. I watch the occasional original but I need to be in the right mood. Voyager is really my favourite. I see little of the more current ones although do like them. We don't subscribe to any of the vast provision of additional channels, which relaxes our viewing somewhat.

The newest, strange new worlds is great it has that 60s vibe but the 21st century filming which gives it a brilliant authentic feel while at the same time bringing it right up to date.

We are going to watch it today, at least a couple of episodes.
