I have heard that if you liked watching Squid Game to also watch Alice in Borderland.... and then maybe My Name.
Have you?
Alice in Borderland was already on my list, but I haven't started it yet because I have other things to catch up on first. Will give them both a try eventually.
The first episode of the new season of Blacklist.... Some of the characters are still a bit too annoying for me with their hatred toward a certain someone and blaming him for everything lol it started last season, and I was hoping they'd stop making everyone like that. I wonder if this will be the final season.
Perhaps a bit off-topic, but I haven't been to the movie theater in sometime now and for obvious reasons.
I do like the big screen though but not always the movie.
I'm curious. With a bad movie, do you leave early, ask for a refund or gut it out?
I usually just stay... and maybe make fun of it to create some entertainment lol I will crack jokes for any movie, but especially bad ones!
However, I also have not been to an actual theater in a long time. I have a large TV screen now, so I actually prefer watching from home... the movie, popcorn, and drinks are cheaper at home ;p

I think I'm so choosy about which movie I'll see, so that weeds out the worst. Saves money that way, but also the feeling of having to be stuck in the theatre for a bad movie. I've never actually asked for my money back for movies, now that I think of it.
I know my TV isn't that large compared to what's available (just 32-inch) but that's good enough for me, plus the savings from staying home.

I agree, even down to the 32 inch TV we have lol. It is some considerable time since I have watched a movie at the cinema though.

Agreed, we downsized to 32inch and Im glad of it. But we invested in a good sound bar so if we watch a movie we can have that 'cinema' sound if we want to ( great with star trek movies).
The last time I saw a film at the cinema there were people talking, eating all sorts of food rustling papers and cartons chomping away on burgers pizzas and fries, using phones and the guy in front had obviously had seen it before and kept telling his mate what happened next until OH leaned forward and explained what would happen to him next if he didnt shut up!
I really am done with cinema unless the format and atmosphere radically change.

There were a few weak points, but there were in all the Alien films.
I think for the most part science fiction is seen in a negative light by a lot of critics.
Let's face it shooting things in the pitch dark with lots and lots of of the tumble dryer ventilation hoses swinging about doesn't help. And why are there always steam vents blowing off?why if they've managed to get into space and across the Galaxy are they still running on steam? it's not 20000 Leagues under the sea now is it? Having said that I love sci-fi.

You certainly are not wrong lol. I am such a fanatic about sci-fi that I will watch anything no matter how bad it can be...

Cherry, "Das Boot" Surprised me. Have you seen "Down Fall"? Both require subtitles. German is essential.
I watched "The Song of Lunch" for the second time. I like both Alan Rickman and of course Emma Thompson. (She has a most feminine face and can act. What I could see of her dress, I liked too.)
I'd be curious to hear what others thought of the narration.
