I don't watch horse racing anyway and especially the Grand National it's such a brutal race. It's horrible to watch the horses jump and fall their legs flying all over the place, you just know that somewhere there's a broken bone and that means another life is going to be lost. This year it was 1 fatality a horse called the last mile who was put to sleep (that means killed) after the race. And all in the name of entertainment.
Yes and no. I do like seeing how forensics catches them.
Same! Is it sad I've seen all of the original Forensic Files and if I hit a repeat on live HLN or try a random one I'm like, oh I remember this! Forensics fascinates me very much. My favorite book series is about a forensic artist that does the rebuilding of the skulls.
I did finally decide my greatest career wish and what I would go to college for (nothing enough to make me go before that cause writing and art doesn't need a degree...). It was a woman on Forensic Files I found stunning and went OMFG that's a career?!?! I am a former floral designer, work with plants very well. This badass lady helped in a case while identifying plant life off a victim. She was a forensic botanist!
As a result...I've made my main character in my novel a forensic botanist (makes sense with why she's hired). I dunno about going to college it's when I'm nearly forty, cause I need to get my life together first before college. It might never happen but the idea is nice.

NASCAR is on the TV downstairs (I never really watched this or golf before here). I watched General Hospital for the first time in weeks this morning (still livid over the stupid writers).
Jay and I have been watching an episode of The Boys a night for a few days. I wanna catch up before Jensen Ackles joins the cast, plus I love Eric Kripke's work.
Working on rewatching a fave Korean drama, Her Private Life. The perfect amount of comedy, a little romance and fun!

Are you watching How It Really Happened on HLN? It goes into much more depth than Forensic Files.

I haven't seen that one. I'll have to see where it is streaming. Still haven't found Forensic Files II yet. The narrator to FF has such a soothing voice to me that I can fall asleep 😶

Just started The Great! Still keeping up with The Great North, Bless the Harts and Good Girls.
T says that we are overdue for a Vincent Price film because she's having withdrawals of VP. So am I. So we are gonna make her flower arrangement and watch a VP film.

I am getting Forensic Files ll on Discovery Plus. I think it also airs on HLN.

Hmm...must see if sling has HLN. I have Hulu, Netflix, prime, YouTube red and Disney.
Does anyone else watch Korean dramas? I ask as I switch to finish episode 15 of It's Okay to Not Be Okay on...
Please tell me what you think about it.
I was watching Vincenzo.
I can recommed the ones that I like:
Jewel in the palace The rookie historian VagaMusic
Never seen Vincenzo. I've been meaning to try TRH and Vagabond. Never heard or JITP though. Adding to my drama list 😁
It's Okay to Not Be Okay is beyond amazing. Most unique lead female, excellent storyline, dialogue, cast, original soundtrack, then don't get me started on costume design! It's a have tissue handy, but amazing. Need to watch final version episode.
Will start Vagabond after I finish of a rewatch of Oh My Venus (slow watching here and there when needing laughs but its at the dark point), Run-On (e04) and The Start Up (e02). I watch one of each a week. Casual episode or two of one of my faves (on YouTube btw - Trot Lovers or Lovers of Music) once a month.
I do drop dramas if they aren't my cup of tea though. If it's high school set, I'm not game. College sure. Hated a famous one and can't get past episode one of Boys Over Flowers 😶

I really liked it's okay not to be okay..
I loooove it. Might have to take a drama break from new ones after cause of omfg what can be just as good?! I'm trying to wait til next week on final episode.
Ooooh, I have watched quite a lot of korean dramas.
One of the first ones if not the first one I've ever seen was romance town and it's just such a sweet story, I also like the chemistry between the two main characters. It's about a girl working as a maid that wins lottery money, but decides to keep working as a maid. It's interesting to see, throughout the story how she changes after winning the money, despite still working hard as a maid.
Queen In Hyun's man was great, but I found the chinese version (Love through a millenium) much better. A guy travels through time into the future and meets an actress that is working on a historical drama based on the events that are happening at the time this guy is from. I can't remember much about the korean version, but I felt that the chinese version really used all this knowledge to its advantage. For example the guy actually went to the library to check records about what happened, so that he could try and prevent tragedies, which is a very reasonable thing to do imo.
Cheongdam-dong Alice was pretty good, but it's been so many years since I've seen it I can't remember much. If I remember correctly I liked it because it was more serious and there wasn't much of easy humor in it (fart jokes, lots of drinking and drunk moments etc.). Poor girl trying to get and marry a rich guy to live a rich life.
Queen of ambition is probably one of my favorites (sometimes it's translated as king of ambition, but I have no idea why, it just doesn't make sense at all, based on the story). It's a pretty heavy and grim rags to riches story and it just makes you wonder what more could happen to this particular poor person in the story and it just keeps coming, one tragedy after another, it's so so good. BUT the ending was a MAJOR disappointment. It had so so much potential and they screwed the ending badly imo. I will most probably not re-watch this, as I have found the ending really horrible, but if you enjoy these types of stories/dramas, you should probably give it a try.
I have seen Boys over flowers and I don't think it was anything special. I'm a huge lover of the poor girl, rich guy stories (you don't say?), but this just didn't do it for me. The whole drama revolves around the main couple and there were barely any scenes of my favorite couple, which wasn't the main one, and I have noticed myself watching the episodes mostly to see what's going to happen to them and waiting until the next scene in which at least one of these characters would pop up.
Princess hours is my all time favorite ever. If you like poor girl, rich guy stories and you think korean kissing scenes are lukewarm at best, this is a MUST SEE (I avoid dramas starring Park Shin-hye, because in every kissing scene she looks like like she's being forced to eat raw snails). The chemistry between the main characters and the story are both so so good and the ending is most definitely worth it.
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, I'm not sure if I've seen it through the end or not, but from what I remember and what I did see, I did like it. I think I got a feeling that the ending was going to be a bit different than what I would have liked, so I'm pretty sure I quit watching it about halfway through. That makeup applying scene was pretty neat though.
Faith is another time-traveling story, a female doctor travels backwards in time from the 21st century to help a wounded queen-to-be. I have seen about 16 episodes of this before quitting because it was headed in a direction I didn't like too much.
Descendants of the Sun was a nice love story between a soldier and a doctor and all the stuff they had to go through. Not that memorable for me, but I remember it being nice and I have finished it.
Other dramas worth mentioning that I have liked: My Love from Another Star, Mischievous Kiss, Rooftop Prince, Lie to me, Coffee prince,... Plenty of others but I can't find/remember them all, haha.

"Romance Town", probably should've put it in quotation marks in that post to make it more obvious, haha.
I have YouTube TV and a ROKU device. Looks like negotiations have broken down between Google and ROKU and as of midnight tonight ROKU won't be allowed to carry it. I dug out my old Firestick and will be able to watch it there.
