TV and Film

We started on Legit and Preacher.

The pilot of Legit was so inappropriate lol but one should expect that from anything that has to do with Jim Jefferies. His comedy is messed up sometimes, but can still be funny.

Then without me realizing, my SO switched us to the first episode of Preacher, but I thought we were on to the next episode of Legit, so that really threw me off. I was like, "wtf is going on, and what does this have to do with anything!?" I laughed so hard when the name of the show finally popped up. That was a good trick lol

Preacher is interesting so far.

So I watched news of the world with Tom Hanks.
I should say I'm not a fan of westerns, but this was quite a nice story, it had a couple of unexpected twists and and a couple of slightly disturbing scenes for me but generally speaking it was a pleasant enough story.

LOL It's a comedy about a woman who has lived for years in a shelter, as she was told there was a nuclear fallout.

Has anyone been watching Dead Like Me?

I watched episode one last night.... Not too sure.....

I watched the second Dead like Me tonight. It's ok, I think it will grow on me.

I also started Atypical. The comedy of the autistic boy. That is really interesting.

Well worth a look if you want to learn about autism.

I'm watching the Conjuring 2 tonight. I do love my horror. This one is set in Enfield UK.

I'm somewhat a sucker for HLN. Anyway, for some unknown reason I watched a documentary of Heath Ledger who did the move, "The Dark Knight". Any young death is of course tragic. But my take away was that Ledger had difficulty dealing with fans and the press and this may have caused insomnia. He ended up taking too many pills and died.

Short story, I watched (am watching, its a long movie) "The Dark Knight". I think the documentary was trying to tie Ledger with some darker meaning and the movie's "Joker" character.

Although I liked the cast, the movie itself is pretty dumb. Jack Nicholson, "you wouldn't hit a guy with glasses" Joker was much more fun. Truth be told though, comic book movies aren't my thing.

I watched the Season 1 finale of All Creatures and Small last night, from PBS. (I rationed them on the PVR, so I don't remember exactly when it aired.) I remember watching the original series with my mum (also on PBS) and I enjoy both. I'm thinking of getting the season for my mum for her birthday in May if it's not too costly. I could ask one of my sisters to buy a related book, too.

Other things I watch regularly: documentaries!

I have a couple movie versions of The Secret Garden to watch again soon. The Hallmark version of the '80's, and the 1993 film as well.

We are back to watching Legit. It makes us laugh.. I probably said this already, but the comedian's sense of humor is messed up lol
