New home, new puppy? 

Kids arrived with their SO on Thursday. Tonight is my son's engagement party. The girls are at the salon to beautify themselves, party will start at 6:30 so I have to make up my mind which dress to wear

I shall be decorating the Christmas tree today.

As for me, I just got done warming some soup. I'm having that with a tuna sandwich and chips and coffee. Trash is out and dishes are mostly done. Gonna eat and rest and attempt to work up the energy for a hot bath. I am in great need. 🤢

That's how mine started out too. Keep an eye on that! It took a couple weeks to show up positive.

I took three dresses to the restaurants with me. I arrived 90 minutes in advance to prep everything. By the time I finished, I got all sweaty, I ran to the bathroom to wipe myself off then I decided to go with the red dress, lightest fabric and sleeveless. 

Now I have to look for a dress for their wedding next year on 10/08. This time, I don't have to do anything so I can dress up all I want.

Another weekend is pretty here, and it's the big one for all who celebrate Christmas!

My guys (two teens now, so not just "boys" anymore - not little ones, anyway) will be away tomorrow to spend Christmas Eve with their dad. We'll aim for a low-key Christmas afternoon when they're back, then special dinner together. I'm okay with opening gifts on the 25th if they're not exhausted, but so far the plan is to open them on Boxing Day ("Second Christmas" sometimes in our family). We'll have a special breakfast on the 26th as well, so pretty much making up the morning before that we spend apart. We're also probably having lunch with my parents after that, and there will be a few gifts at their house.

I'm looking forward to a new Call the Midwife Christmas special on Sunday, some quiet time at my house while the guys are out, and then enjoying time together again when they are! (Absence makes the heart grow fonder - for mums, especially? )

I might have time on Friday to drop in at my parents' place again, or visit with a local church friend while the kids are away with their dad. That will seem like the start of a long weekend. Then the boys are here for NYE and we'll just relax on Sunday at home if we've stayed up long Saturday. (Somehow I doubt that will happen!) Monday is one more day off, then back to normal Tuesday.

I'm hoping for a fun weekend. First a quiet New Years Eve with my husband and then it's Football Sunday.
