I am working on my mathematics. I do wish I were faster with numbers: I'm not slow but I'm not mega-fast, either. I just need to know what I'm doing with numbers.
Karen will be along soon.
As i like to say, mathematics is fun. I know I am strange but I love those numbers.

Look at me. Anything math has always come easy to me but I can't spell or put a sentence together without thinking about it. You do that very well. We all are good at somethings and not other things.

I do feel blessed to be good at English. And I guess you're right: we all are good at some things but not others.

I didn't get to spend last weekend relaxing on my own (since I had the kids with me unexpectedly), so now I'm planning that this weekend! First up, movies!
We just came back, I got some pillows for the backyard's chairs and the front porch's bench. Hubby was looking at a pit boss ( bbq gril, smoker and burner all in one) but he found out there is more he needs to understand so he is reading the information online right now. I just cut up the melon and open some vegeterian caviar to eat with crackers. These and a salad, will be our dinner tonight. We had a mediterranean lunch today.
Yep I'm going to be in the loft this weekend ... Trying to be brutal about getting rid of stuff and most likely spending hours mooning over old photos and old dog toys we couldn't bear to part with....

My oldest brother virtually lived in the loft. There was a small area curtained off, for him. It had his desk and a table. He was a natural swot, so it suited him just fine. Of course the doctorate he got in chemistry, and subsequent large pay packets, showed that it was not time wasted....
We have a dinner tomorrow night for a French friend who just married his girlfriend of 7 years last month. She moved to here from China a month ago and does not speak a word of English. I have to get my phone translation app ready.
I'm going to pick up more packing supplies if I can, and start a couple more boxes to fill. Good time to decide if I have too much of something, or don't need it at all. For example, I had too many vases for someone who has to buy herself flowers (or pick 'em in the neighbourhood) but that's sorted now.
Might also have time to visit my parents for a little while, and definitely fit in time for Olympics coverage and reading!

This weekend I need to begin planting tomato seeds for this year. If I don't get going I will be all of a rush like last year
Do you plant then indoors than transplant them outside?
Yes. It can involve several stages as I have a greenhouse so most of them finally grow there but temperatures are Ok for tomatoes outside here later in the year. Timing can get critical towards the end of winter though as, particularly if I start too many, they can get too big for the house. I grow other things apart from tomatoes. I will write about them in the gardening thread as time moves on.

I grew up on a farm in a cool climate and tomatoes always took special care so always curious how others did/do it.
I haven't packed much yet this weekend as expected, but I'm taking pictures before I remove artwork from the walls and then we can decide whether to replicate after the reno or change things up. Took down some of the posters before supper, and I have a plan for some of the "wall clings" in the dining room - clean the glass on a large framed painting, and put the clings on there for now!
I think tomorrow I'll enjoy listening to videos and music while taking more things down and sorting through the top shelves of the kitchen cabinets. I know I definitely have too many mugs, but deciding to say goodbye to some is hard for me! I even have souvenir mugs I don't actually use for tea - like a Star Trek one. Perhaps taking photos could give me a souvenir that takes up less space?

We have lots too. I think that there is a Star Trek one amongst the collection but it was my stepson's. I do have a Wallace and Grommit mug still in it's packaging.
