Well, another Friday where I'm having strange heart episodes. I woke up with my heart feeling out of rhythm this morning and fast, but during my normal waking, not it waking me up. I know it can be normal for heart rates to elevate when waking because it has to get you going for the day, but the weird rhythm.. not sure about that.
This time my SO could hear it.. but he still said it mostly sounded like it was in a steady rhythm with a random shift that was different here and there. I had no symptoms with it other than.. well. the start of anxiety again lol I get such bad anxiety when my heart feels off, and that does not help matters. I just don't know how to stay calm when my body is telling me something is "wrong" with me, even if it might be benign. I just have no way of knowing, and these episodes are infrequent, so when I get my EKGs in the office there's usually nothing to see.
I am hoping it's just normal PVCs, although, I did read having too many close together can be dangerous, so I am still kind of nervous. However, it did seem to go away after a while and is mostly steady when I feel my pulse. I might notice something a little off on occasion, but I don't know if it's concerning.
I am waiting for an at-home EKG monitor to arrive. It would be interesting to be able to learn how to read EKGs, not that I'd ever rely on only myself lol I hope I'll be able to record a few examples to show to a specialist, but I really never know when it will happen, and false readings are possible when in a panic and not being able to hold perfectly still. We'll see how it goes.
