Interestingly I have cut back and do somtimes even use conditioner as shampoo. Shampoo seems to be like - the more you use it the more you need to
That ^^ is a proven fact. Shampoos remove the sebum [natural hair oil] from your hair and scalp, giving you that squeaky sensation. The skin recognises the lack of sebum, and increases production.
If you don't want to ditch the shampoo, you can improve matters by cutting back on the shampoo, by trial and error. Your target should be to use slightly less than will cause the squeaky effect. That squeaky feeling tells you that you have stripped your hair of all it's protection. That is why you need to replace the sebum, with hair conditioner. The conditioner will remove the squeaking.

I'm not sure about squeaky sensations. In recent times I have only used a tiny bit of shampoo anyway. Recently I have been finsihing a bottle of baby shampoo too which has been around since the kids were small. To wash hair to a full lather with it would have taken a good proportion of a bottle but I just went for clean a little each wash.

That sounds like a sensible application of shampoo.
I'm now thinking I have been to aggressive washing my hair. Not that I have changed anything but from what I have heard hear and have been researching a change is needed.

I have no choice but to wash my hair every day. The grease is unbelievable and I refuse to have greasy hair. I WILL use less shampoo and will use my hair conditioner every day, though.

The shampoo manufacturers have got you, and they are reluctant to let go. You, and most women, are the cash cow.

This is how I look after my feet:
1. Soap and shower gel my feet daily in the shower 2. Regularly cut my toenails 3. Use foot cream at night 4. Use a pumice device to remove dead skin on a regular basis 5. Wear fluffy socks at night
