Next time you'll have to take them with you.. carry them in a backpack everywhere you go.
That would be really something but u have a feeling they would not appreciate the great outdoors as i do...
Lol my son took his inside cat outside once.... As her paws hit the grass she ran for safety in the nearest place possible which just happened to be up his leg.. and his screams of pain were heard all over the neighborhood

Mine are indoor kitties too and even if i leave a door open they will noy go outside at all. They will stick their heads out but thats as far as they will go.
That's good timing. My kitties are rescue kitties and they told us they though they were born in late July last year so we are celebrating their first birthday.
An obituary for the lovely Cyril , who sadly, I only met via skype and facetime.
A border terrier loved and family of my sister in law. Adopted from Battersea dogs home when he was already a senior dog of 8 Cyril made it to the grand age of 20.
Last week my SIL was worried about him and went to the vet, but he perked up came home and enjoyed weekend full of chicken and rice dinners, he had trips to the common with her pushing his buggy in case he got tired.
All seemed well and then yesterday he played for a while wagged his tail and then passed away.
Cyril did things on his terms including deciding on his time to go...

Love the buggy part.
A loving owner and a loving dog make a great combo.

I miss the white cat, Elizabeth: we have a bond. I know this because she absolutely loves me! She always runs towards me and loves the affection she gets.
She is gorgeous, too: pure white fur and one blue eye and one green eye.

She does visit my dad's house every day: but I don't live with my dad, so I don't get to see her very often. Plus, my dad doesn't actually own her: she just visits the house.
I guess I wish I had a cat of my own: I love cats and always will. I know Elizabeth and I have a bond. She loves staring into my eyes when I sit down with her.

As mentioned in another thread, we have been playing around with different times of day to give our doggy her diuretics... so far it seems she sleeps longer at night when we give them at 7:30 PM, so we'll keep that up and make adjustments here and there if needed. Before she was waking up 2-3 times throughout the night/early morning.
Murphy had his yearly vet check today.. Hes lost half a kilo since last year which is good. Not that hes fat but gaining year on year isnt good either. Heart lungs eyes and ears all 100%
Hes had his lepto booster too, important here we have lots of waterways and marshy gound and Murphy is a hunting dog so the chance of lepto is high.. Better safe than sorry.
Our dog is continuing to defy her age and charging around like top dog.
We have finally got her stools sorted. It was pure liquid, and a reddish stain therein. So we have started feeding her pasta, and they are firmer, well mushy, but at least the right brown colour.

Sorry, if that is too graphic....
Wheat pasta or rice pasta?
Usually rice is good to help their tummies, that's what the vets here always recommend at least... plain rice and chicken. Or well, we've also been told to not feed them for most of a day to let them 'reset' if they are having really loose bowels too much.. and to give lots of water. They also give us some probiotic with other stuff in it to help firm up their poo! We've had a lot of experiences with loose bowels in our doggies, unfortunately.
Typical of our dog and her 'top dog' opinion was yesterday. A large german shepherd was held back by it's owner from coming near ours. Both were off their leads. Ours is very biddable. I just have to say 'here'. Well, I had to tell her twice, as she veered towards this dog, and she just looked at me and I could see she was saying "Well, I had to tell the dog he was a twat, and I could have had him for breakfast, if I could be bothered!"
That is so typical of her. She often charges at dogs, then when I shout she veers away, and you can see her grinning, and thinking "Hahah scared them, didn't I"
It's usually just big dogs, and if they are fluffy, or odd looking. But if they come running up to her playfully, she will usually play. Dogs never approach her aggressively. I often wonder what what they see, that I don't.

It could be an age thing. I've heard that young dogs have a certain respect for their elders.
My parents had a neighbor with an old Golden Retriever (Sparky) that loooooved his tennis balls. He would put three or four in his mouth at the same time! Anyhow, another neighbor's Golden Lab puppy (Hunter) happened to snag a ball thrown for Sparky. Sparky let out just one deep woof, and Hunter dropped it on the spot!
