I have not fed them anything. I think, in previous years, they have caught enough flies but recently I have worked out why we get so many and so we don't get that many in the house now. These days there is more information online. I see a current choice is rehydrated bloodworms. I have bought some and may try them when the plants get back to reasonable size. There is a way to feed them though as the traps need massaging so that they think that they have live prey.
A good suggestion in a plant care sheet that I have seen though is to put them outside for a while and let things occur naturally. I'm not so sure though as it is one way they could bring pests into the house. Those in the greenhouse will get plenty of attention anyway.
Jen, thank you for the information. It might be fun to try a few. I am going to take a look where I can purchase some to start.
My venus flytraps are coming along a bit now, at least three of the four pots anyway. The first photo below is an example of how the two pots were. It actually looks better than they were in the photo. The plants did look very poorly. The second photo shows the best of the repotted plants. It's looking far more healthy so hopefully will look very well withing a couple of months. The third photo is the one that I have put in the greenhous; hopefully to live outside all year. After checking it appears that the yearly weather in the Carolinas, where they originate, is not too far removed from here, in my greenhouse anyway, so it should do well. I only have room in the house for two pots. As you can see, it is tiny but looking healthy (I will put the third in the next post as over 1MB total.
The summer heat looks to have finished off my hydroponics for the next couple of months or so. I will be taking down my system, cleaning and storing it for the fall.

With mine it's a bit the other way round this year. As I am growing cucumbers, which can handle our heat, I will probably clean it and store for the winter after they have finished. I may clean and restart the indoor system though. It's growing Basil, really well, at the moment.

As far as indoors go I have two small units that I grow herbs in. I van at least grow something when the heat is on here.
I think the tub with my cucumbers in is going downhill now. The leaves are yellowing and growth has slowed. The tomatoes are coming on much better though and my peppers are growing well.

I always find that when the cucumbers start to go downhill they go very fast.
I came back with a lupin. My sil gave us it from her garden, and some basil.
I wonder if our lupin will flower this year. It tends to get forgotton but it has been coming up well. It sits in a pot rather than the ground so is restricted.

Lupins are pretty hardy, in my experience.
Very much so. I have them in my front yard along the steps up to the house, my gardener trimmed them down and they grew right back. very low maintenance.

I don't have a garden but my dad used his garden to help me re-pot one of my houseplants, which is now in a very large pot full of fresh compost. And my plant is thriving.
One of my sundews has flowered and gone to seed. I have planted them and have fingers crossed now thet they are viable. The seeds from such a small flower are just like a fine dust.
I got around to planting some seeds for winter veg a couple of days back. I hope it isn't too late for them to get a sprint on before it gets too cold.
