We had some "living stones." We called them brain plants lol they are like tiny, colorful brains. I think they are so cute, but I killed them by accident, too. I do better with plants that are in the ground than in pots!

I have a black thumb so let it be known that I do not garden.
My ex was like that. I once bought him a living stone, within a month or two, we renamed it dead mush.
It was also his job to look after the house plants, seeing as I was at work. When we moved, out stuff was in storage longer than we expected. Despite this, in comparison to his care, they had thrived.

Living stone
These are stones? are they that way naturally?
Yes, they naturally look that way. Very neat little plants in a nice variety of colors.

LOL No they are succulents. Like cacti, but without needles. They just look like stones.
We finished planting our plants... none are flowering or very big, so I will share images from off the internet of what they could look like lol hopefully they will thrive! So, these are not my photos yet, but maybe one day I can post my own.
Autumn Twist azaleas (we bought a dozen for under some trees):

Not yet. These are not my pictures ;p Just examples of what I planted. Mine are tiny and flowerless for now, but I wanted you all to see what it could look like one day... maybe in a few years!

Oh okay. Its going to be a very beautiful yard heather...lol.... But I am sure it already is.
Pretty much nothing in my yard is flowering. Our gardenias might if we're lucky, but our loropetalums completely skipped it so far this year. They were under a lot of stress, so I think that made them focus on leaves only. We only had them 1 year, so maybe next year they will do better.
I am planting a lot of flowering shrubs and trees because our yard barely had any. The previous owners must not have liked flowers?? lol
Oh, and I also have a crape myrtle. Not sure if it will flower this year or not either.
It's a Black Diamond one... dark leaves, and it gets red flowers that also turn pink and white at different stages. I put it near the road where all the sun is. I will snap a picture if it flowers this summer :-)

Cherry, that's beautiful!, now I call that a garden. You will be terrified seeing my backyard.
You do surprise. Your designing skills as shown on the old wof were great.
Anything inside the house Cherry, I don't do well outside especially when I can't do it from scratch. My places already have landscape that I have to maintain rather than create.
My parents have a banana tree, too. It grows rather small ones.. but they taste pretty good compared to others. I'm not a huge banana fan, but I don't mind smaller ones.
