What about our environment?

I saw a huge bug hotel at the zoo yesterday, and I thought ours was large.

Spiders can be scary but sometimes they will surprise you with their kind nature.

Mankind is doomed.

We pulled in to a small Lane yesterday where we walk the dogs. It was a van part and a man with his two small children were there children were playing in the man was busy cleaning out his van including emptying CO2 fire extinguishers into the air.

What is the point of me turning down my heating, using less water, saving that plastic bag etc when people like him are busy discharging CO2 into the atmosphere for of the hell of it or to avoid a recycling charge?

When it became time to replace my refrigerator because of a faulty ice-maker that was forever breaking down, we moved it to the garage and that is where we keep all our beverages and extra veggies. 

Here, we are roaring in clean air act, changing petrol car to EV. It came to me this morning that the government and the Green party should improve the rubbish collection instead of focusing on getting the people shift to EV, which is not affordable for most people currently. There are only two available collection stations for hazardous wastes in the city with 1.7M population. Guess what? The locations aren't even accessible enough. Who would drive a 30km to throw their empty weedkiller containers along with their varnish tins, aerosol spray, etc? As a result, they end up in the regular rubbish bins. I don't get it. Why not improve the household hazardous waste management? I'm thinking of writing this to our MP.

This stupid rush to EV's is sending a lot of perfectly good used cars to the crusher. That is a bigger environmental disaster than keeping them on the road.

Our local dump is well organised with different areas for different rubbish, but the guys that run it seem to resent us going there.... So rude and unhelpful.

When you buy a new appliance here the store you but it from will take away the one you are replacing if you want them to. 

Now it looks like Putin is destroying pipelines. I can imagine what the cost to the environment is going to be.

Who sabotaged the pipelines remains a mystery until it is proven by the West that Russians did it or the other way around. As for the environment, it will take years, decades for the sea to recover.
