The nursing staff and office people must get paid handsomely to throw out an expensive glasslock microwave container. This was in the trash (not a thing wrong with it) and it's not the first time I've found them in the trash. I'm gonna start digging them out and if they're ok they're coming home with me and getting cleaned up and I'll use the damn things. LOL!
Firstly, it is still, technically, theft, and you could get the sack.

it's not considered stealing where we are. they allow us to take stuff home that people get rid of as long as they aren't from an isolation room. if it's in the garbage it's trash and free for the taking. the director in er threw out this wooden stand up decoration that said believe. it was red and pretty so it's now in my living room. lol! ~*~ on a sadder note...my irl "friend" i use that term very loosely...has decided she is no longer interested in me. idk why either. she is now sitting with 2 of my coworkers and eating dinner with them and ignoring me. i've been down there twice to make sure it wasn't my imagination. so i said the hell with it. i'm done trying to make irl friends. they aren't worth the time it takes to get it started just to have them shut me out for no damned reason. it's rude and inconsiderate. and i'm tired of subjecting myself to it. idk wth i'm doing wrong but i just don't even care anymore. i'm too exhausted to give a sh*t. it just hurt my feelings.
Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.

That's a relief. The mods and I have been discussing whether we can allow hardened criminals in here...
Friends, and work, often don't mix. It comes with all sorts of internal politics, and fallouts and bitching becomes almost the norm. But it tends to vary from day to day. One day, you are out, the next you are in.
Small people, small lives. You just got to look after numero uno, and if that means leaving the circle, then it's maybe best. But you are worth more than that, and it is their loss.

I think that work friends are a bit like having a relationship with a work collegue. Really to be kept at arms length. Things can far too easily go pear shaped with detriment to both the relationship and work.Stress just piles on top of stress.

I wonder if there was a fridge cleanout. At one of my workplaces, the cleaning staff does it quarterly, and a notice goes out to all employees that anything left in the fridge at the appointed date will be thrown out. Cleaning staff throws out condiments at their own discretion.

Thanks girls.
Well if they're gonna throw out perfectly good dishes I'm gonna start my collection. LOL

I wish I knew how to ride a bike. My father never got a chance to take off the training wheels before he died.
I think you are not too old to learn. Forget the training wheels though. Just get on and do it. Millions, and millions, can. Why should you be any different?
Lower the seat so your feet can reach the ground, and start off by pushing yourself along with your feet on the ground. Once you get the hang of that, use the pedals.
Were all you usaers cheerleaders, and if not, why not?
LOL! Um no.

In high school I was. College no. Cherry, what made you curious about this? I'm curious.
Not being american, my only knowledge of usa culture is through films. and tv. From that I am under the impression that it is very important to your teen culture. If you wanted to fit in, then it was a necessary.

*Skips around whistling a tune and tossing rose petals everywhere*
LOL! Like I could skip. I'm just bored here alone.

Well... Not really but it did help. It definitely made you more "popular".
There is an increasing number of short videos focusing on Americans and Brits taking shots at each other on social media and this is only making me cringe harder that my ancestors were Brits and I was born in America.

Not just Brits either I've seen them having a go at the Dutch. They're trying foods which basically is just Dutch junk food saying it's ghastly it's awful it tastes like nothing. It's no more representative of Dutch food the McDonald's is of American

Why are are you cringing?
Social media is mostly cretinous, and not representative of most realities.
