This is for one of my favourite "Sheilas", Cher. In Oz, if you order a hamburger with "the lot", the toppings are lettuce, tomato, cheese, raw onions, pineapple, beet-root, fried egg and vegemite. Quite lovely, actually.

My ex was not much of a grafter, he did have a job [3 weeks] as a kitchen helper on a sunday in a bar that was the first stop on a sunday morning village pub crawl.

Below is what was served up, followed by a few pints of beer and shorts. Before they moved on to the next pub.

Can you imagine early on a sunday morning scoffing this lot and then drinking to excess before getting on a bus to go to the next bar.

It doesn't bear thinking about.

And regarding that picture, I couldn't imagine eating that meal and then going to a pub!

It was usually served after the beer, so it would be washed down WITH beer. 

Each bar knew they had the busload for a specified time, so it was a matter of serving the drinks as fast as they possibly could to maximise profits. 

It definitely came with a breadknife, Burd!
