I'm nearly finished reading "In a Sunburned Country" - great read. But, this is for you Cher: Have you heard of John McDouall Stuart? Scotland and Australia are intertwined to some degree because of this explorer.

I finished my Australia book yesterday and have started to read "Living Faith" by Jimmy Carter. He's a devout Christian, but doesn't like those that force their particular Christian beliefs on others. He said that it should be a personal thing. Most of you know that I like Jimmy, but I probably will like him even more when I finish his book.

I'm still reading Jimmy's book. He and Rosalynn took up Spanish as their second language and he has given sermons in Spanish at a number of Churches in Latin American countries. Yeah, I like him.
Do you mean the scots author, that has won many awards for writing both plays and books, mostly on crime fighting, and a number have been turned into telly series, and he has won an OBE from the queen?
That Ian Rankin?
Nope, never heard of him, what about it?

You know, I worked with all sorts of professional staff, but that driver was my best ever employee. He always wanted to say "yes" when you asked him to do something, and all the patients loved him. In all the years he worked for us, I never got a single complaint about him.
When he retired he said I had been the best boss he had ever had. I was really chuffed about that.
I read a lot of Shakespeare, starting in middle school. A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Caeser (Et tu, Brute?), etc... plus many of his sonnets.
I enjoyed them all growing up, not so much for the other kids in my classes =p

Now reading "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez, read lots of good reviews to it. I almost read a half of it, but still not sure if I like it or not... Ok, I still have another half of this book, so plenty of time to fell in love with it) Will tell you later if this had happened or not...
Can you imagine, I'm still reading that "100 years of solitude"! I have to learn closing the book I don't like, but I can't just give up... There are so many characters with similar names that I already start to forget who's who...
