So, you are okay with people using pot, but don't mind that they end up in jail (possibly for years) over it?
All of our states have different rules and laws (outside of federal laws, but federal laws trump state laws). For example, some don't give warnings or fines, it's just jail time automatically, regardless of the amount. It's a bit extreme, which is why we push for some form of legalization.
Even if we just were required to have a license to grow or possess marijuana, I would think that is okay. As long as there is a legal way to do it!

That is two separate issues.
Are you now asking if I support automatic jail time for a single toot?

But wouldn't it be sadly ironic if the woman that set her new-born baby on fire in the middle of the street was sentenced to the same prison as a dude that was there because of possession of weed?
From what I have read about laws and regulations in the UK, it doesn't seem quite as bad or strict, correct? Are there ways to go about it in a legal way?
We don't have much leniency or choice in the US yet, but I think we're heading that way. Mostly medically, which is what I find most important anyway. Basically, to be against it being legal here is to support the current laws, and they can be pretty harsh. Over here, many people who are against pot agree with people going to jail for it no matter what.
Luckily, I think more people are leaning toward us not considering it a crime like we do currently.

I am not really in touch anymore, but first offence is usually a fine unless you have enough to be considered a dealer.
Though, I do believe that the police are only prosecuting the villains, as it is an easy bust, rather than simple pot smokers.

It's "I've been feelin' low so now it's high time". You got the drift though. I don't think that we should kick her out of TPP. Maybe she could even sing at our rally in Pottsville, Pa. this summer!

make weed legal in the UK!! FULL STOP thanks
When life hands you lemons, make grape juice then sit back and watch as the world wonders how you did it.
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait ‘til tomorrow For babies grow up we've learnt to our sorrow, So quiet down cobwebs Dust go to sleep I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep

Even though alcohol is legal, not everyone partakes. The same could be said for MJ. Countries benefit monetarily from their sales from alcohol and would from their weed sales as well. And Heather, Pottsville is a real place. There's a directional sign in Pa. for 2 close-by towns; the top of the sign says Shamokin and right under that, it says Pottsville. A bunch of people have taken pics of that sign!
Yeah, I looked it up to make sure before I posted lol Shamokin, haha! Well, I guess we know what was going on when they named those places.
Very true about just because something is legal, it doesn't mean everyone will start getting high all the time. It will still be similar amounts of people doing it currently. It's very clear that people do not wait until something is legal to do it lol ;p
