I saw that, and I immediately thought "I wonder what trivial punishment will he get?"
Interestingly the first thing I thought about was that council which chopped down that whole line of old trees in a city / town a while back. That reminds me of another which did the same ( see here ). While I agree he may get off with a small punishment, due to the outcry it won't likely be as trivial as it would normally be, but the point I make is that councils and other wealthier people destroy far more with virtually no comeback to themselves (well maybe council people won't get voted in next time ).
I did see someone comment that we are outraged when one uk tree gets chopped down, but acres of rainforest?
Two joggers man and woman coming towards us on a narrow path,, I drop in behind OH single file, keeping the dogs on our left ( on the grass ) so that we can be passed.. But the joggers seem to take this as a sign that we are going to move more and come head on into us than as Murphy reacts to having a full grown woman bouncing in his face they split and go one each side of us further spooking the dogs who have no idea WTF is going on.. Then they moan about us !
Seriously some people dont have the brain they were born with..

I guess they think they are more important than you and you should just stay out of their way. I hate attitudes like that.

I've had it the other way round with the couple with dogs who take no action when their dogs, running free, behaved in an agressive manner with me, pretty much as their owners, being strongly possesive of their right to own the footpath we were on.
Apart from that though, I would think it sensible to give a dog a wide berth when out jogging. They tend to react to movement and someone moving fast and close is really asking for a reaction.

Sadly stupid people come in all shapes and sizes. We get our fair shar of bad owners crossing our path too . Plus the downright lazy like the one who left the autumn poo ( under some leaves) on the footpath this afternoon .. I almost slid right over.
Um... good thing nobody lived in it at the time with all their belongings... WTF!
Not exactly the same thing....
It was my second visit to this house, so I was cross that they didn't answer the door. I phoned them up, and they said they were in and would come to the door, and let me in.
"You're not at our door." She said.
I had the right number, but had gone to the parallel identical looking street 5 minutes walk away.

I may have mentioned this before but I remember one prime example of when I got the wrong house at work. I called at this house, as arranged, and knocked - no answer. I then opened the door and went into the hallway and called - still no answer. At that point I began to wonder as things didn't seem right so I went out and double checked. The correct house was next door so the visit went as planned. My patient was disabled and his wife may have been out. As I was known and expected knocking and walking in was not unusual. I did wonder about the other house though but some people around there do leave their doors unlocked.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again.. Daytime driving lights should be damn well outlawed because people dont know how to use them, They are not for use in the dark/ at night or bad weather. This morning was a bit foggy a white car was in front of us take a look. The fact is driving lights dont light up your rear lights this guy is about 200mtrs in front of us..

the worst thing is when he gets hit up the a**e he is going to blame the other driver.
I understand totally. One thing is that many people probably don't realise that they have no rear light when those lights are the only ones on. I know I didn't until you mentioned it but I only rely on them for their defined purpose. I see no reason why some form of daylight rear light whould not be used as well though. If these lights are used at all it would be safer.
The other issue is these people who turn their rear fog light on if there is just a bit of mist. It's maybe not so bad in the countryside but to be stuck in a jam in the middle of town with the light glaring in your face
The whole subject of car safety features often irritates me though. There are various warnings on my car which can sound at the moment you are trying to concentrate, effectively reducing safety. I find the worst is the collision warning which false triggers regularly with oncoming traffic (each of us well within our alloted lanes). It's scary at times and it sounds far too late for any effective action; the instant before you pass. Most of these cannot be turned off.

Those fog lights in good light stop you from noticing brakelights. grrr
Which car is it you have? That collision warning sounds really awkward. Mine has automatic braking, and sometimes that goes on when reversing into my drive. I think it is when cars shoot past in front of me. I don't know, as I am looking over my shoulder. It is quite scary, as it goes on with a distinct CLUNK, so you think you have hit something.

Yes, similar feelings. I have a Toyota Yaris. I'm not sure whether it has automatic braking or not but it does not instantly react when the collision avoidance sounds. I think it has in some instances though but as I react quickly anyway it may have just been me. Looking online, it seems it has. The collision warning setting can be changed to give a broad / narrow view but I don't think it can be turned off. The lane following can be turned off though. I usually have it off becaue, as you will know, Lincolnshire has few multi lane roads and with it's potholes and need to travel toward the middle of the road, when safe to do, it goes off all the time.
Another issue with the toyota is that the manual is one of those which wants to give you everything but hence, in practice, blinds you. Although I usually remember them searching for the correct tyre pressures can take me several minutes. Another one was when I booked a fault report check, just after I got the car, as I thought the air conditioning was not working. I luckily found and cancelled the visit that the air condioning (as I would normally use it) required the operation of two swiches, not one.
On a few of my cars, I have found the tyre pressures inside the fuel filler flap? When I used to do simple servicing of my own cars, I would mark such things down in the front or back of the manual.
I tend to leave lane guidance on. It's just a light tug, and a bit of vibration when it goes off.

On all the Toyotas I've had, recommended tire sizes and pressures are affixed to the driver's door adjacent to the build plate. Here, you can see part of Ruby's sticker. This was taken by the dealer during the walkaround, and the sticker wasn't their main focus.

Thanks for the reminder Crystal. Yes there is a plate somewhere. I remember being told where it is when I bought the car but didn't actually see it and haven't when I have glanced since. I have a feeling that it was on the left on mine, but it may be that they always put them in the same place and the driver's door is on the opposite side here. I'll look when I get the car out later.
