Lycra lunatic. Out in the car approaching the traffic light we saw a tour de France wannabe with his helmet on , dark glasses and head down peddling hell for leather towards the lights on the cycle path.. Our turn light turned green and I said to OH ' hes not going to stop'..
I was wrong he did stop. But not how he intended. He was so intent on beating the cars through the lights he didnt look at what was in front of hom and he rode full speed into the pole holding the pedestrian light ! The bike looked to be a write off . He was yelling and rolling on the floor. We couldnt stop, its a major junction and OH couldn't stop laughing..

I have been saying WTF at least a few times a day in the last week, some people are stupid beyond imagination. I wish they at least took time to read the materials before passing them on to me rather letting me get mad at them.
Ronaldo's contract with Al-Nassr is reported to ensure a salary of $215 million (£177m) a year. That breaks down as approximately $4.1 million (£3.4m) a week.

I could do a lot with that! How about at least half a mil to charity each week...
I just saw this in my news feed.. dreadful. Although at least the didn't just kill it for fun. We had attacks on air gun and bow and arrow swans and storks last year, a group of teenagers just using them for target practice..

What a waste of life. The poor birds being killed for the deranged fun of a few.
An interesting buy when I was shopping and looked for sun protective moisturising cream. This was on offer. Am I missing something or is it a gentle hint?

So last night GD and I get on the boat minutes later a couple get on with their son (age9 or 10) , as he walks down the gangplank he panicks , I dont like it, it moves/ Im gonna fall/Im gonna drown etc..Mum tells him its ok .. Then he sits and he is hyperventilating she tells him to calm his breathing.. breathe in, 1,2 breathe out, 1 ,2. Then he starts jammering on about what if the boat sinks/ what if it hits something/ what if something goes wrong, the child is petrified. Mum and dad start telling him its ok the water isnt deep or rough and the boat does this every day.. There is a slight movement of the boat and the kid freaks outso bad dad now has to hold onto him because he is screaming and crying that he wants to get off,,
At that moment a couple arrived with a dog, they havent booked but theres room and dogs are allowed on board but their dog is too scared to walk on the metal gangplank and backs up barking,,, At the point the mum informs her husband that the dog is scared, the people are idiots, cant they tell by the dogs body langauge that this isnt a good idea and that they shouldnt flood or force the issue,, stupid people they need to take their dog home and let him calm down...
I swear it took me all my control not to turn round and ask her if she felt maybe she could take her own advice and do the same for her son.. He evenutally did calm down but not until several more mini meltdowns. Poor kid I wonder how many more times he will be flooded or forced into things hes unhappy about.
I saw that, and I immediately thought "I wonder what trivial punishment will he get?"
Exactly someone will say its only a tree... A slap on the wrist will follow..
300 years of stuggle, of battling the elements, of providing memories and shelter wiped out by one selfish stupid thoughtless idiot ..Maybe let him dig the holes and plant 300 more trees.

Hang him by his private from a tree for 300 minutes?

I know, hopefully more than a slap on the wrist. In Florida a woman using meth burned down the oldest cypress tree in the world ans got a sentence of 30 months. Now she is back in jail for selling meth.

Interestingly the first thing I thought about was that council which chopped down that whole line of old trees in a city / town a while back. That reminds me of another which did the same ( see here ). While I agree he may get off with a small punishment, due to the outcry it won't likely be as trivial as it would normally be, but the point I make is that councils and other wealthier people destroy far more with virtually no comeback to themselves (well maybe council people won't get voted in next time ).
