Road rage has no upper age limit. In Tilburg the Netherlands an 81 year old man became so enraged when an 85 year old woman 'stole' his parking place that he got out of his car shouting at her, he pushed her and then threw her into the bushes. A bystander called the police and took the key from his car so that he couldn't escape the man has been arrested...
There is quite a bit of road rage here. Even to the point where guns have been shown and I suspect even used. I know sometimes I feel my blood pressure go up with the crazy drivers here doing some pretty stupid things but I refrain from doing anything that might anger them and just go my way. I don't need to or want to to get into any altercations.

Not so much road rage as just sheer despair.. it seems that since the pandemic Road rules and common sense have just gone out of the window and almost everybody seems to be a Nintendo driver. Yesterday I drove along the country Lane and came up behind a tractor with trailer , he wasn't going very slowly about 35 miles an hour so I sat behind him after all there is a double unbroken white line down the middle of the road (for non-drivers amongst us that means absolutely no overtaking) Just after the roundabout and as we approached the bridge going up on the hill a small white car came speeding up behind us it overtook me and the tractor trailer right on the brow of the hill into the path of an oncoming car. Horns were blazing and lights were flashing as both the tractor driver and the oncoming car tried to warn him... he made it but honestly there was a wafer between him and the other car. Was it really worth it? he gained 20 yards... He could have lost his life. Today in the neighbouring village there are three funerals, three young men going to a concert last week driving a bit too fast on the country road, the car went out of control hit a tree and killed all three of them.. Dammed Nintendo drivers..

It is not THAT old, and lets not forget, we all know nasty people, and even they can get old......

One of the first thing I learn't when venturing out onto the roads was that, if you see a tractor approaching there will be a car overtaking it in a silly place. Out in the country here they are a daily hazard. With the proliferation of cameras here now I think far fewer people cross double white lines but it still happens.
With the rise of cycle use the issue now is being behind one of them on long double white stretches. With the new rules a driver would have to cross the double lines to get past or, for instance, end up driving at a few MPH up a long hill. With an auto it's less of a problem but any less than proficient driver would have difficulty with that slow for any distance as it can be on the stall of the engine. You can imagine that people drive by closer to the cyclist. It's one of those times when people are unsure so it is a real hazard situation.

Dont get me started on cyclists... Here we have a wonderful cycle network so they dont need to be on the faster roads but cyclists are a law unto themselves .. They cycle on roads, on footpaths, through nature reserves and all over the cycle routes as if its only for them. In fact in many places like outside our village the path adjacent to the road is for pedestrian , horse and cycle ..Yesterday two of the lycra lunatics came speeding towards me. I put Murphy and George to the verge and stood in front of them , the cyclists didnt move an inch taking up the whole path..
As they whizzed past missing me by a whisper Murphy barked and one of them braked and cursed.. Im not often given to foul insults but yes I let rip and told him exactly what I thought of his manners and where I would gladly shove his bike. He rode off with his ears burning..
I wonder are these cyclists the same people as we see on the roads being complete idiots..

As a car driver, I resent having to be the one that has to look after so many cyclists, as they don't want to take responsibility for their own lives.
AND, this is a gender issue. It's always men cycling like idiots.

I am sure we don't have as many here as you do but they can and often are a nuisance. So many have a total disregard for the law and for their own personal safety. And i agree, it's mostly men.

I always get worried when I see cyclists without helmets: my friend Michael got a severe head injury because he wasn't wearing a helmet: and this was in the 1960's.
Once you've got a head injury there is no going back.
The media at it's best lol. Recently I have noticed quite a few of these sort of things. Massive fines for all manner of infringements from disobeying new or little known rules. I am surprised that the old chestnut of London taxi drivers having to carry a bale of hay in the boot for the horse has not surfaced again.
I was more amused by the comments - Scottish flavour
So this popped up in my news feed and I really thought WTF .. Are people A/ so narrow minded they cant be pleased for anyone else? B/ so stupid they cannot match jeans or shorts and a t-shirt if they want to dress like their son.. C/ So immature that they want to dress like a 5year old..
Ive never felt the need to dress up like one of my children they were all allowed to express their own personality (it made for very colourful photos) and I kept mine..

Each to their own. I like the matched look but it is not something that I would ever do. I think the only time I liked my son's style, except for the odd item, was when he had his 'Sonic the Hedgehog' gear. I like Sonic lol. It didn't make me dress up in it though Maybe if I had a daughter?
